A standard bullet hell with good visuals and interesting audio. The only thing keeping it from being a great game is the laggy movement of enemies.
Very classic bullet hell game, well executed :)
It's really nice looking, sfx feels good, the music is really nice (was not expecting that kind of music to work tbh, but it does lol). It's quite classic but it works well, definitely enjoying it.
The glowy bullets really add a nice, modern feeling to the game. Goes well with the music too. Gameplay is 100% pure bullet hell with interesting bullet patterns, though I think some little twists here and there would fit the general audience better. Overall a decent game for a solo dev!
Hey, I enjoyed your game, but found it quite difficult. I find it unfair that the player is only allowed to shoot forward, without many bullets going sideways. So this made it really difficult to kill enemies which were not directly above you. Overall, the game felt very focused on the vertical axis. Most enemies move and shoot ONLY vertically, you shoot only vertically, so I think you have a lot of space to explore in terms of patterns and gameplay variety. The overall feeling was enjoyable tho! Great submission!
its great game. but there nothing really unique about it or something that keep me want to play the game longer and idk if im actually dealing damage u could indicate the enemy taking damage by making it flash then when i kill enemy there no satisfaction like particle or explosion. but the aesthethic of the game is pretty nice and the music bop. it was pretty good game and where is my free cookie? i want cookie;-;
I thought I had played your game early on in the jam, but I checked later and apparently I hadn't rated or commented... maybe I got myself confused with one of your demo builds.
In any case, I'm glad I revisited your game because it's a lot of fun! I definitely did a lot better this time around and actually was able to make to the first boss. Overall, I found it a bit too difficult for me, but it definitely felt like there was a lot of room for improvement and I'll probably be coming back to this one from time to time.
I didn't get to see too much of the game since I was pretty bad at it, but I really liked the level design! I thought the music got a little repetitive, and there was room for more incorporation of the theme, but as you can tell I really liked the game overall :)
A lot of people say difficulty curve is good, but when I remake this game I'll definitely add more difficulties so people on all skill levels can enjoy it :)
The music is repetitive because it's a repeating 20-something second loop. I was making music on the last day, so it's a little rushed :p
I'm not sure how to increase the power? I think it is by collecting those squares that are dropped from enemies but that bar didn't always go up by collecting into it.
The music also gets a bit repetitive but otherwise the game plays and looks nice.
Red drops increase power.
and the blue ones?
Score. Darker blue gives 10 and cyan gives 5.
Very good progression, everything else is very nice as well
Couldn't make to the boss, but I don't think it was unfair, on the contrary, I really liked how game progressed in difficulty. Audio is pretty good and I had a lot of fun playing the game. Maybe it requires some more polish, but overall it's really good. I also liked the retro shoot 'em up vibes that the game gave out. Great job!
definitely couldn't make it to the boss ;) solid concept, didn't ever feel unfair - however, I do have a few constructive bits of criticism!
Those are all really minor nitpicks though. A solid entry, visually it looks great, there are just a few little things holding it back from being a great entry! Also, high score table please? Even just local, but http://www.dreamlo.com is a great online leaderboard service that is really easy to use with Unity :)
-I don't have any issue with the menu, maybe that's a web build thing?
-yep, some enemies have too much hp or they stay on the screen for too short
-the lives displayed are revives, you can have 0-4 of them and at the start you get 3, you lose when you take damage with 0 of them
-yes, I agree, the game isn't polished enough
-yeah, there are quite a few safe spots, part of them in the middle
If I had more time or just coded more efficiently I could add and fix so many things, including more difficulties and more stages.
Thanks for feedback, I already started planning a full remake of this game so it's appreciated :)
maybe, it was a really minor thing anyway :) might've just been because I tried it on a controller :P
AH, that revives system makes a little more sense now :)
Honestly they were all really minor points, it was a great entry overall
Well, I couldn't make it to the boss, but the enemy difficulty started off nice and slow to ease into so points for that! Didn't feel like the game was unfair anywhere I played, just felt like I wasn't skilled at the genre. Definitely a solid, traditional bullet hell style game, enjoyed the visuals and pumping music immediately told me what I was getting into. Also really great for a one man team!
