Really fun, the game has really good polish and I love the visuals, if there would be one thing I think to change either the enemy dying sound or the play hit sound to something else as they sound quite similar.

Intense and fun!  Also I really liked the music! :D

I have nothing more to add than what was already said. But, 3 buttons indeed look better than 2 buttons.

1 START THE COOKIES ARE A LIE!!!

But in serious:
The Visuals are crisp, the bloom is bloomy. The Auto-shooting was cool, so I could focus more on not dying as I suck at bullet hells.
Music wasn't my style but thats very subjective. Would have loved more SE feedback from Enemies and getting hit. Also I felt the collission was bit of. I felt I got hit by things that I actually avoided.

Developer

Hitbox is really tiny, so I doubt there would be an issue with collisions. Maybe you touched an enemy?

I'm going to remake the game and yeah, I'll add a ton of hit and death feedback lol

Nice little game. Really pushed the standards of a traditional bullet hell game, which I really like. Just wish there was more feedback when hitting enemies, such as hit flashes. Also some juice like big explosions would have been nice.

Developer

I don't think my game pushed any standards, but thanks lol

When I remake the game I'll add more feedback :)

Nice job! A bit "by the book" in terms of the genre but represents it well and has interesting bullet patterns. I sadly am in the camp where Im too much of a scrub to reach the boss! :(

Submitted(+1)

That was really fun! It's very punishing if you get hit, as your power also goes down, and then there's not real way to bring it back up, since the enemies that drop the power ups are too hard to kill if you've lost a power level already. very fun though, I like the enemy variety, and that graze system is just incredible!

Submitted(+1)

Well, I'm not that good at bullet hells, I guess... I didn't manage to get to the boss in 8 tries :P

But from what I saw the difficulty seems pretty nice, the bullets and enemies are easily distinguishable. However there is very little feedback if an enemy takes damage, or when the player does.

The game felt pretty fair, although I do wish I had a little more lives.

Over all, I had fun with it! :)

Developer(+1)

Lack of feedback and polish is the main complaint.
If I were to remake this game I'd also add more difficulties so less experienced players can win and more advanced players can play something more challenging.

Great game! If only I knew how to play bullet hell.. -kale

Submitted(+2)

Really strong touhou vibes, I like it :D

Some feedback on getting hit and killing enemies would be nice, also giving the player more "power" pickups would make it feel a bit better. Also a volume slider would be appreciated cause I absolutely jumped when music started :P

Developer

Haha, sorry. I wanted to focus more on the gameplay so all settings I added was muting and toggling post-processing.

Nice game, I really lke the fact that you can enable or disable the bloom effects.
You could improve the game by giving a bit more of feedback to the player, for example: some particles / animations when you destroy an enemy, a small animation for going left or right, having a different sound for when you get hitted, or you destroy an enemy e.t.c.

Developer(+1)

I totally agree. The game lacks details like that because I didn't have enough time to polish it...

Fun to play, like it <3

That was a fun game. It took a few tries, but I managed to beat the boss. I like all the different bullet patterns, having them be so varied makes it fun to dodge them.

I wish getting hit didn't make you lose power, because it makes the gameplay last much longer than needed. The boss should also have a health bar, since you can't tell how close you are to beating him without seeing his health. I also think there should be sound effects when the enemy shoots, as well as visual indicator for your hurtbox as it's much smaller than your shop.

Overall, great job! I had fun playing your game.

Developer

I agree with health bar and sound effects. I just didn't have enough time to add them.
The reason you lose power when dying is so players don't exploit 3 seconds of invincibility after dying.
I considered adding visible hitbox, but decided not to, don't remember why lol.

Hello!

The game play was smooth and a felt just like a galactica arcade game from the 90's but there weren't any original mechanics implemented. Reusing the same art for enemies but varying their damage also made it difficult to know how to strategize around them as an enemy could be destroyed in one hit or take 100 hits to take down. Would love to see some fun updates by the dev!

Developer

I'm not the best at art so I didn't make more than 2 enemy sprites. I do understand that it makes it confusing with varying HP and damage.
I didn't have any idea for a special/original mechanic, you're right :(
What I focused the most on was to make the gameplay feel good, so I guess I managed to pull it off. I'm getting a lot of mostly positive feedback, so I'm most likely going to remake the codebase and recreate this game with more than 1 stage.

I enjoyed the game a bit too much. The pattern of the bullets spawn is hectic but at the same time manageble. The visual asepect is what I like the most. Overall the game feels complete.

Boss patterns are pretty unique with all its enemies thrown into the mix. Enemies are pretty tanky, especially if you get hit at all and lose shot power. Being able to turn off the bloom affect is also appreciated.

I love games that the bullets have some glow into it, the music is really good and fits alot with the theme of the game, great work!

Submitted(+1)

Pretty cool, not too hard at the start. Classic bullet hell with some fun inside AND free cookies!

(+1)

Nice! Out of curiousity, what engine did you use?

Developer

I used Unity :)

Thanks! I think you did a great job recreating the touhou/danmakufu feel.
