Pretty solid implementation. Personally, I would have preferred dual-stick controls. ohh... and nice voice acting :)

Really fun to play, but a bit on the hard side, i feel that the blue colored projectiles are a bit harder to see than the yellow ones.
Other than that i like the spritework, the various food item enemies and main character look nice ^^ And the upgrade menu you can access in between waves is a nice progression system.

Intense but balanced which can be kinda tricky to do in a twin stick shooter with bullet hell patterns :D Didn't feel overwhelming -just the right amount of hectic lol I liked the art too! Fun game -great job! :D
Fun little game!
As others have pointed out the background and bullet contrast is a bit rough, but I actually really liked the sound sound effects, the first time I heard the take damage effect I almost laughed out loud. I think if you made all of them with your mouth it would really add to the quirkiness.
I liked the upgrade system and the fast food theme! I agree with the other comments that the background doesn't work very well. Nevertheless, good job!
Great audio! Loved the screen shake on impact, some very nice details and a fun take on the theme.
I really like the theming of the veggie vs. junk food, but as others have said, it was extremely difficult to see the many of the bullets. Beyond that, I also think it would be nice to stylize the bullets to also be food themed, rather than just being simple circles. Maybe the ice cream enemy shoot's little scoops or cones? :)
The game itself is fairly straightforward. I enjoyed the power-ups and upgrade system between the waves, and the audio is satisfying. However, I did find it a bit odd that the veggie makes a grunting sound when it's hit.

Thank you very much for your feedback. Interestingly, we wanted to do just that about all projectiles, but we didn't have enough time during the jam, we definitely plan to work on that after the game jam ends. Some sound effects would absolutely need to be reworked, most of them were last addition, so there is a bit of varying quality. :)
The game is functional and not broken but I don't know if I have enough incentive to keep playing. I have played so many top down shooters I don't usually see them through.
Cute little game with very fun sounds. I liked the time-slowdown mechanic, very thankful for that at times! ;)
its pretty nice i really like it. the background is a bit too distracting and the bullet its hard to notice maybe make it more high contrast or make it flashing btw its pretty nice game
The visuals are nice i find it very, i find it cheerful that you are a vegetable fighting ice cream, very original concept! But maby the background is a bit too noisy for such a small bullets, and sometimes is easy to get lost. The SFX are also great.
In terms of gameplay, the movement is very smooth, but maby a bit too imprecise.
Honestly, this is such a nice concept, one thing I would do to fix the weird difficulty curve, is to make bullets bigger and slower. That way player would have more time to dodge and not feel overwhelmed with the amount of bullets coming towards him. Also I think upgrades could have some diminishing returns? Like I just put every point into fire rate and was shredding enemies. Overall, I didn't think I would enjoy this game looking at the screenshots, but it was very very fun to play, keep it up!

We plan to work more on this game and we will definitely change some things after the game jam, especially size and speed of projectiles. For the upgrades, we thought about increasing the cost after a few upgrades, but we got that idea pretty late, so we didn't have time to implement it, but it will be one of the first things we do after the game jam.
Love the theme! Lots of different monsters to face against. Movement feels smooth and easy to play. The audio is really good, I guess you recorded it yourself? The only thing I slightly dislike is the background, it does fit the theme but it also irritates my eyes a bit. Overall good job!
I really like the sfx, as for gameplay it was decently hard. a fun game which could use more polish :)
Cool theme! At first I was having a hard time, but after learning which stats to upgrade first I managed to beat the game. Overall quite an enjoyable experience, although having music wouldโve made it more thrilling. Also, the background is really hard on the eyes, I was seeing things after playing for a while, haha!
Great work, i loved the art style and the sound effects, i just missed a song and a wave indicator, to know in which wave i'm in.
