I unfortunately hit some kind of jam on the first map and wasn't able to go any further :/

This was very neat. As other people have said, I love the art and atmosphere. The character having the full 8-directional movement was really impressive. I did think it was slightly odd that the pixels of the "lighting" effect were smaller than the rest of the pixels in scale, but it was barely noticeable.  I also really appreciated the punchy sounds and reloading on the gun. I didn't really get to use it on anything, but it made me feel a little scared just knowing I had it.

I wasn't sure what to do with the...radioactivity finder (???), which would come up when I pressed the up arrow. It was cool, but it never appeared red like in the game's cover image. I also had trouble trying to escape the lab; checking the page it looked like there were 7 pieces of data, but I really tried to count accurately and thought I had them all and then couldn't exit.

I did enjoy my time with this game. It doesn't seem finished, but I'm glad I got to play what is here--and what is here is impressive! Striker is also a cutie :) A snek?

Hello, we appreciate the feedback. We plan on fixing the issues the game currently has after the jam is over(both technical and lack of content). We'll add mechanics that we didn't manage to finish in these 8 days(that includes enemies), revamp the ui, add more OSTs and tell the story we had planned to deliver since the start but that we had to cut due to time contraints. Once again thank you for spending time on this  version and we are glad you enjoyed it.

We have music and sound! That’s a plus! The ambiance is solid. There don’t appear to be any enemies, so I’m not sure why there’s a gun/ammo, but maybe that would be something for a larger game. I like the little flavor text with Stryker, whatever that may be.

I keep getting an error message in the cmd window, which I’ll include below. I’m not sure if that is causing some other issues… Everything I’m about to write is intended as constructive feedback, I really like what you have so far!

  1. The ambience is certainly creepy!
  2. I have no idea why the main character wants to go around collecting data
  3. Not sure if I’m just missing something (didn’t see controls listed in game anywhere) but it’s really hard to know where you have already checked for data, and there is no indicator as to how many bits of data are in a level. I think it’s important to show that info, since the MC clearly knows (they won’t leave the level if you don’t have it all).
  4. I can shoot stuff, but no enemies seemed to spawn. I only visited the first level though because I couldn’t find all of the data.
  5. The loop point in the background music is pretty noticeable

Error message: ERROR: emit_signal: Error calling method from signal ‘finished’: ‘KinematicBody2D(Player.gd)::_on_walking_sound_finished’: Method not found.. At: core/object.cpp:1257

Game has apparently some game breaking bugs

Can't rate as it's not playable in this state. The pixel art was pretty though
