I like the idea but there are some problems.

The camera is way too far behind the player and because the player movements are fast, I accidently ran into deadly traps before even seeing them. Also, the game is a bit too punishing, following the same path countless times because every path leads to a death is not very fun.

But the main concept is great, the music is fine, graphics are ok and it fits the theme well.

Good work :)

Nice music and hits the theme perfectly. good work!

Interesting idea. It fit the theme quite well but I felt there was some inconsistency in what the player can safely pass and what are hazards that will cause an instant fail and restart.

A few times I was cruising down a hallway only to run into a message be bailed back to the start screen before I even had a chance to read it, so I had to go back a few times, which felt a bit unfair.

The music was simple, but I felt it fit ok.

I have a suggestion. There is an option in unity called point no filter and it well make your sprites look sharper. Also you can use text mesh pro for prettier text. Cool concept though

I liked the background music the best!  Next time give more feedback when the player wins/looses.  That's the only thing I think was lacking for this attempt.

This gq;e does a lot of things right in terms of reverse psychology within the context of the jam. Well played!

I liked the idea and connection to the theme, but I feel like you could've spent a fair bit more time on your graphics. If you made some other walls, added some colour, and made a sprite for the player, i would've loved it. Otherwise this was a good game. I would love it if you could try out my game!

Developer

Thank you for the advice. I will check out your game!

Not bad and I glad that the game was still fair considering the theme.

Man, the game was a bit too basic for me.

Good Game ! And good idea ! Don't follow the arrows !!!

It was a fun game to play. It could get a little bit more Gameplay, as mentioned.

As a developer of my own maze, I also looked at your game. I played it through completely and I think the topic was hit pretty well. Although I knew it should not follow the arrows, it caught up with me here and there.

If you are interested in another maze, I would be glad if you also played my game.

Developer

I will happily play your game! I'd love to see your interpretation of the theme and the maze you have created.

Got the flame sword, but lost my patience looking for where to use it. Nice job for you first game jam. Love the movement, music, and that "LIE"byrinth graphic. Would have prefered the hallways be a little shorter or having something else to do while navigating.

Developer(+1)

If you want to try playing again you just gotta bring the flame sword to the "gamemaster" which is the blue guy. Thanks for playing and commenting!
