How does your concept engage in the jam's themes?
It is a game that helps people to raise their awareness about climate change by directly and indirectly affecting the forest while running a restaurant in the game.

Use of Theme / Inspiration
Veltino Grove's theme is environmental protection and the continuation of a protected environment. Environmental protection is an important issue worldwide. We hope this game will help people see the seriousness and importance of it. Environmental changes and their effects are captured in the game, making players feel compelled to play. The theme of the game will be shown through several unique mechanisms of the game, including a karma system that shows changes in the forest's environment depending on the player's behavior, and a cooking system that is related to the forest's environmental persistence. We were inspired by watching movies dealing with disasters caused by climate change. We thought that if it really happened, there would be more terrible disasters than the movies, and we decided to develop this game with to prevent these events happening in real life.

I'm really impressed that you managed to submit a full game design document and you have a well thought-out production plan.  The being said, the scope of this project seems to be a bit ambitious for the amount of time you have for production, so I might scale down a bit on the complexity of the mechanics. I really like the examples of the cell-shaded aesthetics that you want to use! I would take another look at your color palette and how you can use color theory to convey negative/positive changes in the environment as time progresses in the game.

Love that you have a full game design doc. This sounds like a really ambitious project for the scope of this jam, so I wonder if the restaurant portion is needed because I'm having some trouble understanding how it plays into the themes.

This design document provides readers with a clear understanding of the motivation behind this game. It is well-structured, and provides specific detail where needed. The concept art adds great value to the document, as it helps readers deeply understand the game's visual inspiration and direction. The raccoon character design is fantastic, and will draw players in immediately.

My one note for this team is that there are a number of complex mechanics that will need to be created in a relatively short period of time. It will be important to remain mindful of scope as you move forward. That being said, I appreciate that this design document references places where the team will cut content if needed based on time, indicating that the team will keep scope top of mind. Wishing you the best of luck as we move forward!
