Did your team make the majority of the art and music during the jam?
No, most art is premade assets which i had permission to use. And I personally made the music, only a stock sound effect.

the game was good but the lock can be raselly found because it accept only the correct one

Developer(+1)

thanks for playing dude, I know the lock can be easily found, there is some problem with the way I programmed it, I'll try to fix once the jam ends.

Submitted

Good luck bro

Submitted

very good art style, u made alone that all. Great Job

Developer(+1)

Thanks! But most of the art is just premade assets that i somehow managed to put together in a nice way, except for somethings like hints, paper pieces and numberpad screen.

Good starting point in game development. Let’s go all in!

Developer

Thanks!

Very creative take on the theme with a puzzle game. Needs just a few tweaks, hope you keep working on it

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Yeah i want balance the difficulty out and make it better as a whole.

Do you have any ideas on what I could improve?
Btw thanks for trying it out!

Submitted (1 edit)

To balance the dificulty i would start with a small tutorial level and then gradually adding one or two new chalenges at a time

Developer(+1)

Well, in reality a tutorial is already present and i had to add it as there was no context at the start. But i get what you mean. I'm kinda limited by the fact we are still in a game jam and i can't do many modifications.

Submitted

What i meant is on future developement make the turoial the first level and introduce 1 thing at a time, instead of having it as a separate level. But for the limited time of the jam your tutorial is good enough.

Developer

Oh, you're right! It would be the best as some people don't really click the tutorial this way.

Submitted

It was a bit overwhelming at first and I didn't quite know what to do. But you find your way in afterwards. The figure twitched a bit, but otherwise I like the art style so far.

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Btw, what does "The figure twitched a bit" mean?? Is there some problem with the character sprite that I didn't notice?

Submitted

It could also be due to my browser. If you go several steps in a row, there is a small twitch between the animation.

Developer

Yeah I think it's a problem on your end, just tried walking from a side of the room to the other (in both ways) and there was no twitching.

Solving puzzles while escaping the poison is really fun, the game is very good!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing my game!

Seeing positive feedback makes me feel that working on this game was worth it :)

Тhis is a very interesting game, I love puzzle games, but the room fills with poisonous gas very quickly, which complicates the gameplay, I had to work hard to get into another room, despite this, the game is very cool

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks for playing! Yeah it's a bit hard I'll surely slow down the poison a bit, but what's the fun if you win without some effort? :)

Submitted

You're right, thanks to the rapid spread of the poison, it's fun to play the game.

Visuals were decent but unfortunately couldn't really figure out what the controls were! Still great job though for submitting a game!

Developer

The controls were

A to go left

D to go right

E to interact

Enter to close interaction's window

And number keys on your pc to put codes.

Submitted

Neat idea. I recommend displaying the controls either in the description or before the game starts. By the time I figured out what items to interact with and which button to press I was already close to  dead.

Developer

Yeah, thanks for playing!

The controls were in the game's page thanks for making me realise I put them in the Install instruction section.

The whole idea of an escape room where you slowly lose sight is so cool and has a lot of potential, but as of now this game is kinda unplayable :( Hope you manage to build upon this concept!

Thanks for trying my game! What would you do to fix it and what do you mean by "unplayable"?

It may be because playing it 50 times and knowing how it works makes me understand how it works but I don't see really much of a problem.

Especially respect to version 1.0 which was literally so bad that it needed most of the code to be rewritten and sprites to be remade.

Sorry, I wanted to show your game some love but I won't download and run random executables. Consider making your games playable in the browser to reach a wider audience!

Developer

I was going to make it playable on web but forgot. I'm going to make it now!

Developer

You can now play my game in the browser!

It's very unclear what's going on in the game. The mechanics behave inadequately. I passed and did not even understand how, I just spammed the numbers on the panel.

Developer (4 edits) (+1)

I am sorry, this is really an early prototype rushed in 3 days while I was sick. I'm trying hard to fix the problems rn.

And I wanna add a better explanation about how the game works too.

But I have no idea on how I could fix the code bruteforcing,  except adding more numbers and that'll be hard to code and finding ideas on how to make the player get the items is harder.

Developer (2 edits)

Hey dude! After hearing about the problems the game had I did a whole overall of the mechanics' code and made a tutorial as well as new sprites.

So if want to see how the game should have been from the start, well, the update's out.

On a note: even if I added more numbers the code is still easy to bruteforce. Have not found a way to fix.

Submitted

I can`t open the game

Developer (2 edits) (+1)

It should now be fixed! I had exported it the wrong way.
