Great job making a game will all the components! Levels,  menus, music, sound effects!  The statue shrieking nice was CREEPY and really added to the game.

Got totally stuck on level three. The statue is blocking the exit. Errr, what do I have to do :D

good game for what it proposes, and the puzzles fit the game very well

Like the mechanics and the quirk. Directions are a little buggy, but it works in your favor most of the time which prevents it from being frustrating. Good level of polish for the time frame.

The audio is great. The walking backwards is a really good idea. Great job.

Developer

Maybe I shouldn't have decreased the movement speed when walking backward.
Anyways thank you for taking the time to play my game :D

Sorry, I meant “good” and not “goof” lol it was a typo

I've played a lot of roguelikes but never thought about holding shift to walk backwards, adds a whole new dimension...literally! Can't believe this is your first game, it was really well done. The audio was excellent, I feel like I'm going to be hearing those angels in my sleep!

Developer(+1)

I remember that in Doctor Who, the angels didn't make sound, but I thought the player needed some kind of sound cue to know when angels were coming, so took a bit of inspiration from Dying Light.
Thank you for playing. This means a lot :D

Oh man, you've totally captured the weeping angels here. Nicely done!

The walking backwards mechanic is such a small but essential piece to this puzzle. It felt a little weird to use the first few times, but I got the hang of it.

Knowing weeping angels, I think I would have appreciated a slightly different "solution" style to the puzzles. Being able to defeat them by tricking them into spike traps is a bit basic for them. It'd be much more interesting to lure them into rooms and close the door or drop them into pits.

Overall, you did a great job on this. Well done and keep making games!

Developer

Thank you for the great feedback! I will make sure of using it in the future :D

I thought of maybe making an homage to the show, by making the angels look at each other and freeze. Unfortunately, I didn't have the time to implement it. Next time making a puzzle game I will spend more time improving the puzzles.

Weeping Angels! It's really cool to see them in a videogame, and it fits very well into a puzzle. Great idea and good job!
