I've user Synty assets for 3d models (the buildings and vehicles). I've used sound FX from SidearmStudios, and a single music track from dark fantasy studios. All the assets have been legally acquired :)

fun game

Loved this! The music and the boomer shooter feel was there, coffee as a powerup is also a nice touch. :)

Niceee! :D I love this!
The map is big. I manage to kill the Chtullu at the end.

I loved the art style, and the sound design was so nice! However, the constant flicking movement when the player is still is a bit annoying.

Really cool game. The combination of 3D and 2D is a very interesting concept. Very well done. :)

Developer

Thanks for playing! The combination of 3d and 2d comes from our preferences. I like making 3d games more, and my brother likes making 2d graphics.

Best game I played yet. The art and animations are awesome and the coffee upgrades are fun. Great job in such a short time too!

Developer

Thanks! Glad you liked it! I'm passing every praise the art gets to my artist (in my case it's a fancy way of saying "to my brother")!

We've been doing jam games for almost two years now, and I've been coding, well, much longer than that. If you're curious about our creative process check out the devlog attached to this game!

This was one heck of a game. It is so cool to see the conflicting art styles blended so well with such a funny and interesting story. I like the GoldenEye-type gameplay and the coffee power ups keeping you awake. It is very polished. This an awesome game and you did such a good job. Pressing play for the first time with that music blaring really gives you a sense of the insanity that ensues and the tracks overall really get you in the mood for some good old action. Good Luck!

Developer

Thanks! Glad we delivered :)

I always try to put some story into the game- it gives the player the right vibes, and delivering tutorial that way is more interesting, than just saying "pick up the coffee to stay awake".

I fell off the map at the end, but I had a lot of fun getting there! I love these run and gun type games and I love all of the buffs the coffees give you. Fantastic game!

Developer

Wait, do you mean first level, or the last one? Uhhh... should have spent more time bugfixing!

Fighting Cthulhu I fell through the world

Developer(+1)

Noooo :(

Although "Fighting Cthulhu I fell through the world" is a really nice way to start a Lovecraftian-like short story

Submitted

This is very true!

This is awesome, bro getting the runs from coffee is so real though...

Developer(+1)

We decided to explore every side of coffee. Delicious taste and the kick of energy on one side, and harsh truth of the runs on the other

That's pretty cool :)
