Firstly, the amount of content, especially audio is staggering. The music is great, the visuals are nice though and the writing is great.

But this's not exactly my cup of lighting tea, so take these suggestions/nitpicks with a dash of acceptance.
I don't particularly love searching for stuff, so I'd welcome the following

  • differentiating between interactable items would be great - I had to hover/click on everything just to find out a third of the things is just fluff
  • letting the player organise the ingredients - starting disorganised is fine, but trying to find the same thing over and over is frustrating (and my memory is bad so this's probably on my)
  • having the recipe book open when prepping the recipe (see previous point about bad memory)
  • clear language in regards to the means of preparation

Those are all really great points. I would have loved to let players organize, it is something I am looking to add after the jam ends, since I just didnt have time. Same thing with the non-interactive ingredients, it is on my too do list after.

Thank you for the comments and critique! Those little things like knowing if the language is fun yet understandable enough are something we really just need playtesting to know, so thanks!

To be fair, the clear language point is very debatable since it's riddle-based but it was frustrating when I wasn't sure which and I picked the wrong one just to redo the same list. I was just reminded of reading about board game manuals and the need for keyword use consistency, but this's a different case, so YMMV 😉

Wow, this is really detailed and a lot of fun figuring out the potions from the various books etc, that and the tavern vibe make it feel pretty cozy. Also I’m impressed with the audio and general polish of this submission.

A lot of great work put into this game.  Nice Potion Craft kind of game with a bit of search-and-find.  The setting was great, allowing for the great background audio.

For feedback:  In some cases the dialogue/info boxes seemed to stay on screen and not click-off which could be in the way at times.  I loved the help cat, though, I think this was an example where a second press didn't toggle the help info off.

Polished aesthetics.  Not sure if there were any undocumented potion/drink/brew 'Easter eggs'... a lot of drain cleaner though!

We really like the audio work and the artwork too. It creates a cozy feeling. Some ingredients were hard to find, others were around multiple times (Grief in different colors). Overall a good experience!

I like games like this where you have to mix stuff to get something. Art and music so coool )

This is super cool and unique! Very charming atmosphere, I love the background music and voices. It was tough to find some of the ingredients, especially the spider. This is definitely a look around type game where you have to explore everything on screen to figure out how to progress but most of it is intuitive. Great Job!
