Animations looks great, the music is relaxing, and the platforming feels really good. Only issue is that sometimes camera doesn't show where I should go, and I have to do a jump of faith. But overall nice job!
Also, it's always nice to pet an animal :)
Thank you!! Glad you enjoyed it!
So Cool Espacily the cutscenes
Hey thank you so much!!! Those took me so long!
Fantastic visuals! Easily a 5/5 in aesthetic, I loved the art, and the music fit so well
The platforming was very smooth and responsive, and felt quite good to use!
However, I think the platforming felt a little TOO forgiving, which led to the precision platforming feeling a little mindless at times.
Really really pretty and polished game, I just wish it had a teensy bit more gameplay depth! Maybe you could continue developing it after the jam if you had fun with it :)?
Lovely little platformer entry, overall very smooth and polished!

Thank you so much for your kind words! We'll at least update it once after the jam, to fix some of the things we got feedback on. :)

Gave me jump king vibes with the platforming. The art was really nice and the music was really chill. The interaction with objects was nice, I was petting the dog for a while! Really nice game, do you plan to extend it after the jam?
Thank you!!! Really glad you enjoyed it. We're planning to at least fix some of the stuff we got feedback on, don't know if we'll take it any farther though. :)
I really enjoyed this game! Most obviously, the art was beautiful, and the music set the tone very well. I agree with what others have been saying about the platforming not being perfect, but honestly, I'm really impressed with it as is for being made in two weeks! I think it was a great difficulty level for this game jam, too, allowing us to enjoy it as a cozy narrative experience.
Also, the little details like the dog and bench were wonderful. :)
I'm glad you enjoyed it, it's actually my first time coding a game so your words mean a lot!
Looks great and sounds awesome, but the platforming leaves smt. to be desired. Most notably I was missing coyote time and encountered some leaps of faith where the camera could have corrected for that. Not resetting the jump input effectively resulting in bunny hopping when holding space is an interesting choice.
Agreed. Had we planned our time better we would have focused the level design and platforming more.
Thanks for playing and thanks for the feedback!
Pretty solid game! The cutscenes are cool, I like the artstyle put into this game, theres a nice detail there that makes every floating tile be connected through the background tiles. Did get a few incidents where I teleported to the other side of a (single or set of) tile(s). Sprites and interactions are also great. Also this is the first game I ran into so far that also uses pygame so thats also cool to see!
Hey thanks a lot for your kind words! And sorry for the teleportation bugs. ':)
Wasn't able to play on Mac, only an .exe file was provided
oh i didn't do proper thinking about compatibility, sorry my mistake!
This is a really good looking game with awesome sound design, but sadly that's where it ends for me.
The platformer movement is not very polished and you frequently glitch around. The level design is very uninspired and never remotely challenging, except for the frequent leap of faith sequences.
Bonus points for letting me pet the dog though.
Thanks for playing Michael!
Unfortunately we weren't able to go over iterations of the level design in time for the game jam, but the low difficulty is intended. :)
Fair enough. Better to have a short, easy game than something extremely frustrating. And I absolutely know the pain of not having time for level design. That's why I tend to finish mechanics and all the important stuff at the halfway point of game jams nowadays, so I have time for levels and playtesting.
Forgot to mention that I really enjoyed the story btw.
Very true!
We should scope and pace ourselves more realistically next time!
Thanks!! :D
A relaxing platformer!? I cannot play platformer like games, but I greatly enjoyed this!
Yay! Thanks for playing!
