Definitely a solid top-down shooter! Love the melee animation and at first the game felt a bit too easy because of how much health you get back from enemies, but that final boss was definitely a challenge. Both bosses were really fun in general with how they behaved. The audio is actually really low, the first time I played through I had turned the sliders up to max and I still didn't hear anything through the entire playthrough. I boosted my system's audio after that I restarted the game and that time I could hear it although it was still a bit quiet. Once I had audio going though, it felt like a good match for the gameplay so it definitely helps with the presentation. Overall really great job!
Thanks for the feedback! The audio on my system is never very reliable to its always been a bit of an issue trying to balance it right so ill be sure to boost it up significantly for future projects!
Very fun top-down shooter. Swapping between melee and range attacks felt good and there was a decent amount of enemy variety. The last boss was legitimately challenging. All hail the remnant!

Great balance and nearly perfect length. Felt like a cross between Descent and the Nier: Automata hacking game.
Bosses were nice intersection of challenge and novelty.

Epic game! Those shield enemies are hard to kill.
good to know! If I had more time I would have added more shield mechanics to teach the player to use the sword for them earlier in the game! Also I probably should have made them turn slower so you could circle them to let the player still use the gun!

Yup there was and it was actually meant to be one of the main forms of combat as it would let you get in close for extra healing lol. I'll definitely need to learn how to show more of that info in game for future jams!
I really like the health for kill mechanic! Makes you less afraid to melee the enemy but you still have to be careful.
