I'd like to see finished game! Voice acting is great, nice atmosphere, secret room makes me invincible :) Subscribed!
This game has huge potential and nice presentation, and it's evident that a lot of work went into it, but it's too ambitious for a jam game and falls apart way too quickly due to the unskippable intro, very quiet VA, and barely-working combat.
I hope you'll keep working on it and realize your vision, but also make more focused games for future jams.
good look. good voice acting.
i wondered at first why the download was 1/3 of a gig.
voice acting. always audio.
i like it. but that first skeleton did me in. i even drank all three potions.
good job.
The game is really cool ! As you mentionned it, it's unfinished. But there is a LOT of content. There is a lot of music and even voice actors ! There is a lot of variety in the environment too. Sadly in this jam version the main voice actor volume is very low and I can barely hear it compare to the music. But the project is good, you should continue it as you said !
Good choice to give access to the developers' room, it would have been a shame not to see all the work done (even if unattainable in game) !
This is such a cool start to something great. I was blown away when I went in the developer room, with all the partially fleshed out items and levels, you guys put a ton of work into it. Loved the style of your guys textures in the house and crypt, look forward to seeing where it goes.
The game sure looks and sounds great if anything.
Thanks - we're glad you liked the feel of the game, and we're sorry we weren't able to finish it on time! We will continue to work on it though!
It shows how much work you put into the game, very nice. But never ever lock me from progess with unskipable voice overs. I almost quit rigth at the start. And I think you can stun lock the enemies by rapidly clicking on them.
Hi, I'm glad you liked the game - as unfinished as it was. The stun-lock is only visual - they still do damage!
We're going to try hard to finish the game properly, so we'll bear in mind the cutscene skipping - is it just the bit where your character is talking and you can't move that you didn't like, or also the but with the letter being read out?
It was the letter at the beginning, I don´t know, it somehow rubbed me the wrong way. Stupid thing to be angry about, but it happened.
The game has great atmosphere and I really loved the voice acting, that was one hell of a nice surprise. The manor had the makings of a really cool RPG start hub, but I don't think they got very far with the story or the initial balance (I couldn't kill the first skeleton without going through the developer room to gear myself up. I could just be really bad at this).
But this is definitely one I'm going to follow and would like to see finished. Please finish it!
Hey - thanks for trying out our game!
You are correct that the balance is completely broken - last minute change to make combat more interesting had side effects in the early levels :(.
We did have the story entirely planned out and voice lines recorded - we just ran out of time in putting in all the triggers and key items into the levels. We'll definitely make sure to prioritise this in future jams - I think we could have finished on time if we did things in a different order.
I'm going to continue working on the game - probably a little slower than during the Jam - but hopefully it'll be finished soon!
I like this. Please continue updating and keeping us posted :)
