these werent the rats i was looking for. i expecting the ones from RPGMaker MV.

They kinda looked like cats.

And i'm pretty sure i spanked them to death.

Don't drink the purple potion.

I ended up with -0.5/50 sanity. It figures.

Solid gameplay. Not the most aesthetic, but hey, it did make me stick around to complete all levels! Good job

Struggled a bit to get my bearings at first with the visuals but it was easier going once I did. Movement was solid, controls were fine. Good entry.

Very good game, liked the puzzlish levels.

Very nice game! The gameplay is solid and the game runs smoothly. I miss the music a bit, but otherwise it's quite fun. Great job!

Solid gameplay loop, but the font made me squint.  I chuckled at slap fights with rats.

Damn, I was this close to finishing a level! (I think.) The graphics are a bit rough, but there's a solid gameplay loop. Can't exactly explain why, but I played this for longer than I expected.

Just finished the game and I must say, the Hill house level struck a nice balance of tension (from the sanity meter) and exploration/combat. I felt free to go around using potions and experimenting while keeping an eye on my stats. For that level the game felt like it was working as intended and I had fun with it :)

The downside was the Wine Cellar level where I found there was only one route to get out and if you took any steps out of line you were doomed. I had to do it maybe 10 times just to make sure I kept my sanity, which compared to the Hilll House made it far more linear and annoying. I'd hate people to quit before the Hill House level because they'd miss out on the cool variety of potions etc.

Overall nice work :)

Thanks for the feed back, and thanks for playing!

I definitely made the mistake of playtesting the Hill House a lot more than the Wine Cellar.
After the game jam is finished I will have to go back and balance the Wine Cellar some more.
