I like the look and feel, and mechanics. Overall I was having fun with this until some monsters got off center on the grid and I couldn't hit them but they could hit me.

Solid visuals, nice sfx and all in all a fun experience. Ran perfectly fine at 60 FPS on my low end test system with an iGPU, so thumbs up for an optimized experience.

I guess you are using the post processing stack and turn down the saturation to-100 for the alternate dungeon? Was thinking of doing the same but decided against it in the end.

Missed the ability to strafe and that I could not see the ground of the tile I am standing on (which helps navigation). Movement was on the better side of things but I could walk right through npcs most of the time (not always though) and they would happily walk and chase me through walls. Looks like you are using a navmesh for that, right? That doesn't really fit for an grid based crawler.

There are some technical issues but I have not seen a bug free entry yet (including mine) :)

Well done and thanks for sharing.

That was fun (and follows the theme), the 4 levels are distinct enough, I liked the variations with traps an enjoyed coming from killing enemies one by one in the first one to simply fleeing from a big crammed horde and rushing to the chest in the 4th one.

Somehow when walking through long corridors I felt movement could have been a bit smoother, yet it is far from terrible and the game is cool.

We did a similar style of game! It was good but going back and forth for levers in level 1 annoys me a little bit.

Couldn't find last lever on the last map, but overal game felt real nice. A bit of clunkyness with the bow, where on smaller enemies arrow can move right through the body and wouldn't damage them, but that was nonissue overall.

First level was hard to figure out what would trigger the next set of levers (namely second lever wasn't opening for me for a while and others just 'exit, kill one mob, return' kind of deal). But the rest were fine (except last one that I couldn't find the lever for).

Liked the touch with slowly moving light bulbs - they were sometimes tricky to understand possition of, but was neat change of pace for sure.

Overal, great hacking of the monsters with mix of puzzles! Good idea for sure and neat implementation of two worlds.

P.S. unfortunate shortening of the game name or intended? It doesn't deserve that name, c'mon! :p

If you want a game where you get to swing an axe to slay your enemies, this is the game for you!

I very much enjoyed this one!

Graphics are solid! It has decent sound effects and ambient noise, though they do start to get a little old on the ears.

Controls feel a little awkward. I end up wanting to move faster than the game allows and needing to be further away from stuff to interact with it (1 square back, that took me a bit to figure out).

Overall, I really enjoyed this entry! Thanks for sharing it :D

Happy you liked it. Thanks for the review

It wasn't really for me but it looks nice and incorporates the theme well. Couldn't collect the hearts unfortunately.

Developer

You need to stand one block away and press interact button  to collect the heart

That explains it

This was actually pretty good once I figured it out and noticed the lever. Good levels, lots of swinging at demons, well incorporated theme!

Nice game with the incorporated theme. The enemy does not move in grid is an issue I found. Because you can’t really run and just tank the damage.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. I implicitly tried to create an outnumbered feel, made it so that you can't run through more than 2 enemies in the grid.
