This was really nice and scary experience (: Some minor bugs and controls could be clearer but overall it is a really cool short horror game!
This was pretty cool. There were some glitchyness with q and e in some spaces where you could only turn in one direction but it didn't really impact gameplay much.
Liked this one a lot. The idea is good an well implemented! Thumbs up.
You got me alt f4 in night level so congratulations lol. I am not a horror guy. Not willing to scream in the middle of the night.
You created a pretty strong atmosphere here, congratulations.
Graphics and feel are definitely the first things I try to nail and I am glad you noticed :) Thanks CryptRat
Nice short horror experience. The graphics is very good and the map layout is well done, like the others said. I guess the game does exactly what it wants to do, so kudos on that!
Thank you for the kind words Ilyos, glad you enjoyed it :)
This was a really interesting way of doing the dungeon with all the wild grown trees.
And you did a great job making the Tree Monster scary with how erratic and twitchy he was. One look and I wanted nothing to do with him.
It was a little disappointing when I accidentally bumped into one and he just exploded, rather than getting me, but I was right next to the car anyway.
Great entry!
I am not a good animator so I did my best with the old squish and squash technique haha. Thanks JD Nation for playing :D
I enjoyed this one and got to the end with no bugs etc. I got a bit scared, especially in the second part - I like the 'stepping on a twig' addition. Does that actually attract the tree thing? It's a great mechanic if so. Not the best compliance with the "Duality" theme, maybe, but the day/night aspect is good enough for me :)
The twig 's volume sound is actually the indicator of how far the monster is from your position. Thank you for your feedback and for playing it Ric, we appreciate it :)
We didn't manage to get very far unfortunately, we were rooted each time. We couldn't work out the combat mechanic or what our health was. The dithering was an interesting approach to add a style to low poly graphics but we found it a bit off-putting and the noise flickered too much for us, perhaps the noise as a static overlay would be better. We liked your choice of font and the look and feel of the menus, they were very nicely put together and presented. Ambient sounds was good too. The outdoor scene with trees in daylight was a refreshing change to a dark dungeon. Good job on you entry.
The health would show up in your notepad if you collected a note and then press shift . also there was an axe but sometimes it blended with the grass so well haha. Thank you Rebello for the response and for playing the game :D I really appreciate it.
Graphic looks very nice ! I like the retro noise effect. Good movement feeling, well done!
