Theme incorporation
Our game blends two main themes: Infinity and Cosmic Horror:

The concept of infinity is achieved through a crazy dungeon generation system that creates an endless, ever-changing environments. Players can explore endlessly in any direction, with the layout continuously evolving, ensuring no area can be revisited in its original form even when they simply go back where they came from.

Cosmic horror is integrated through the game’s narrative and art. The plot centers around Elena, a young sorceress who accidentally destabilizes a portal during her experiments, getting sucked into a cosmic horror’s realm. Players take on the role of her fiancé or father, venturing into this infinite and shifting world to save her. This realm, filled with unsettling monsters, challenges players to navigate through its unpredictable changes.

First of all I love the art style and atmosphere within the game. The environment and creatures make you feel like you're in another dimension.  At first, it was a little confusing trying to realize where to go until I was able to level up. The combat system was an interesting take and took a second to understand how it functioned. I think the hit confirmation such as the damage numbers you deal or receive need a bit more pop to show them stand out because it's a little hard to see with everything else you're focusing on the screen with the two moving bars for defense and attack.  Other than that cool concept and art and hope to see more!

"Congratz, You saved Elena!"

My main gripe with the game is the too long combats.
In the last biome before boss, an enemy got 400hp and I was doing ~10 damage per hit, so 40 hit * 5 enemy = 200 hit to clear the floor.
Maybe there is a gem to up the damage, but I didn't have the chance to find it.

Noticed a bug: With the "regen/defense per hit" stats, even a attack under 50% (no damage, so not really a hit) trigger the effect. You can spam attack with 1% of charge and regen all your life very fast for example.

I saved her! Yay!

his game had some different combat, and it totally works. It takes a while to understand it but once you do it is a nice type of combat. It is some skill based but mostly timing. It got a lot easier once you get a health regen gem. Lot of things looks AI generated but it works. I liked the different biomes you go through, it gives some variety to the gameplay. The enemies are a bit to alike though, would like to have some difference in tactics for them. Into is almost overworked :) There was some bug where holding the space bar to change level opened up the inventory instead.

Changing the settings in the menu does only change the volume in the menu that instance, when going into the main game it is reset and when returning to the menu also. Worst part might be the How To Play screen, needs some love to get up to same standard as the rest of the game!

Very well done!

After that intense intro, I came into this expecting a lot. Really loved the combat! It got a bit meditative after a while but that was a good thing for me XD The procedural generation was really cool as well, and I found myself exploring a lot after hitting the required quota of enemies. All the art is great too, but the styles really clash somehow. I'd recommend picking a style of asset and sticking to it for everything in the future.

I saved Elena!

The game looks notably good, the enemies integrate well into the great looking environments and the inventory looks super cool too. The intro was very catchy and I like the menu music. Movement feels great too.

In theory the combat system is fine but in practice fights were very easy and a bit long, which was partly due to the gems I found (until late I could not increase my damage), except the boss fight which was actually super tense and fun, I could have died there which actually raised my enthusiasm about the game.

Overall a cool entry, thanks for sharing.

The intro of the game is really cool, with voice acting and all. It shows how passionate you are  for your game. Graphics of the game and monster design is very impressive. This is probably the most visually best  looking game for me in the jam. Enemy designs are also great. Combat system is a little weird but it works well. It's not straightforward and feels good. FOV of the camera is too low and there are too many pillars on the map. Everything feels to cramped up. I'd prefer corridors, instead of this kind of level design. I didn't like it much the progression of the game. You kill monsters to level up and when you level up you advance to the next level. This gameplay loop makes the game all about grind. I don't see much sense of purpsose in that. I feel like you wanted the gameplay a little more like Diablo. Enemies drop gems to upgrade weapons and stuff that sounds like Diablo to me. It would also be nice if the enemies moved on the map and had a simple animation.

Final thoughts on the game; artistically beautiful game but gameplay loop didn't really work on me, it didn't make me play the game. Hats off for your efforts and hardwork in any case

The intro was intense, is this you voice?! The game seems to work well, with the shield powering up left and attacking with the right. I did not really 100% get, how the system worked together with the character stats, but it feels, like there is quite a deep system. I always like stuffing things into slot, like the gems here. The only gripe I have with the game is, that the styles clash a bit at times. The music during character selection was totaly off for example and some of the graphics did not fit together. But very creative entry with the procedural system in place.

The combat system is unique so it's a nice change of pace from bump fighting. The environments and creatures are varied, the storyline, VO and pixel art was great too. Solid entry!

A solid entry! You can watch my experience live here: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2108733841?t=00h28m10s

I wish the combat was a little more risk vs. reward. After I figured out the combat, the game was a bit grindy. But, it wasn’t too long and didn’t overstay its welcome.

Nice work!

All the jam's Windows-only entries are giving this Mac user a lot of FOMO, and this is the one I most wish I could play *sigh* These monsters look so good!

Really liked the overall vibes and atmosphere. Good job!

Hey,

really neat art style! I like the combat mechanics and the game loop.
Would have liked the combat control also on the keyboard. Its nicer that way on the couch with a laptop. :D

The balancing was a bit off. The Heal on Hit seems to be very (too?) good. After that the + Damage ones. The Rest was mäh. The End Boss was also a little bit on the weak side.

But great Jam Game. Liked the run a lot and a good amount of fun!

Aesthetically, a very interesting game with a simple but catchy premise. The combat loop is intuitive and fun, and there is an element of building synergies with gems looted in each level. The intro is very grandiose and intense, and the infinite size of each level contributes to the cosmic horror theme.

Love the combat cadence! Assets are beautiful.

Oh wow, this was an excellent entry! Fantastic intro art, good atmosphere and itemization system. Fun combat. Straightforward progress! I was also impressed with the interesting ever-changing world. It came as a nice surprise when I realized that the world changes around me very quickly. Impressive! Played it to the end, saved Elena, had a good time.

Fantastic!
