Did your team create most/all of the graphics yourselves?
yes, the entire game is hand illustrated.
Did your team create most of/all the audio yourselves?
yes, the audio is all from objects on my desk.
How did you incorporate the theme "FREEZE"?
This is a card game in the setting of a medieval town struggling against "the great frost", like a very harsh winter. The game revolves around maneuvering your cards to clear off "frost" cards which are the effects of the "great frost winter thing".

I must have been playing wrong or I was just having issues with the web build, but I was not able to discard and cards, and I could only stack cards on the center card of the frost cards. Not sure if something was broken or I just did not understand the rules, I had matching cards for the descriptions and still nothing happened. Could be an interesting game, kind of like a solitaire almost.
Very fun! I really enjoyed this submission. It was a real challenge and very satisfying to win. Great job!
Yay, I saved the town!
That was hard, keep restarting cause I soft locked myself up many times, lol.
Eventually I was able to come up with a strategy and I pulled it out, very nice game!
Knew I had to check this out I was on Manisha's stream. Really good job implementing the card mechanic over a week! It's something i never quite managed to do, so I am quite envious haha!
Like others said, the word dump at the beginning was intimidating for me as well but I also do not know how else you would systematically teach a player everything — especially for a jam game, there's not much time to implement all of that.
Top points for art, theme, and originality!
The giant wall of text that I am met with when I start was very very intimidating, which is why I stay away from board games in general in real life. I much prefer being introduced as I go to the rules and mechanics. Ease me into it. Also don't like the default textmeshpro font. With both those criticisms out of the way, the rest of this was fantastic. Wonderful illustrations, nice shadows and easing, satisfying sounds, love the word Burgermeister. Great job.
Yeah, basically all text in the game, even the text on the card faces, I started writing less than an hour before the deadline. I just had to accept whatever I could put together. Something I only thought of after the jam was that I could have made a hand drawn font to go with the game. Ah well, but maybe I can put that in an update later. Anyway, thanks for downloading the game!
Interesting entry! Love the art and atmosphere of the cards. Not very good at it, but I don't play many card games XD Great work!
Nice game design, and having realistic cards combine to defeat frost cards enables the story to be told through gameplay. The game naturally becomes harder as frost cards deplete, making for an intuitive difficulty curve. The art style does well to capture the atmosphere of a medieval time.
Thanks, I am glad you found the artwork compelling.
This was so cool, good job being a solo developer! Super super fun!
Wowww, just... wowww. I definitely didn't expect to spend 15 mins+ on a game, but there I was. I LOVED your game, I was so invested in it... At the end I was left wanting more. 10/10. Your game is on my top 3 of the whole jam, and man... I've played quite a few (24 by now). I hope you keep working on it, would love to see more levels ٩( ᗒᗨᗕ )۶. thanks for sharing your game and congratulations on submitting this clever and super fun card little masterpiece.
thanks for the amazing words! I am glad the gameplay was compelling, you see, I was frantically rushing to get it finished on time, some areas just couldn't receive the polish it deserved.
Wow, this is a great card game design - a tough solitaire with a funky atmosphere and nice art. I hope people give it a try - this one is worth a download. I've tried several times and gotten down to 1 frost card before being overwhelmed with vagrants and laborers.
thank you! Yes, those laborers and their constant demands for food can make for quite a challenge.
