Good game! I loved the voice recordings. They were a nice touch.

I played on linux and had problems with the performance going down when there was some enemies on the screen. In the case of this affecting multiple users, this problem may be due to collision checking. I had this same problem in my game when I had 6+ enemies in the game and the way I found to mitigate it was:

1. checking collisions with what is on screen only

2. reducing the number of wall colliders (in the start of the level I grouped the colliders of the walls).

FYI the windows build doesn't work. As far as we can tell it’s because of the colon in metadata.txt

But I figured out a workaround to run your game, and I’m glad I did because it’s good! I especially like the tone of the writing and the voice acting and the sound design in general. The final sequence was a bit of a struggle because I tried to run past enemies and performance would tank if even a few of them weren’t dealt with.

Thanks for the help, I've been trying to figure out why the windows version wouldn't work. I've removed the colon so windows is now working.

I love this game! It's my favourite entry!
Please keep making games!

I completed the game in one sitting with a smile on my face the whole time.
The level design was pretty good, I never felt too lost ... and the frequency of new items and dialog was perfect!

If you were trying to make a serious game like the original Alien movie... you messed up a little by adding the weapon pew noise and jokes
BUT the weapon pew noise and jokes are what make me love this game.

Med-pac side effects may include: Raised Heart-rate, Sudden Coma, Increased Depression, Decreased Depression, Constant Heart-Attacks, Death or Death-like symptoms.

The dialog reminded me of Portal 1
Keep being you, 10/10 game.

I loved this. I love that it has personality, that it tells a complete story in three short levels and especially the voice recordings. Really excellent job. Performance did slow down towards the end but that may be something that can be fixed post-jam with the help of people on the discord. Bravo!

Love the ambiance that's created and the small beginning cut-scene really helps with that.

Short light range works well too for this.

I think the player could be a bit faster, or the map smaller, but it felt very slow and eventually tedious.

I was sometimes a bit confused as to what was a wall and where I could walk, so maybe you could have considered making walls darker to sell the illusion?

Didn't really stick around too long sadly, but noticed the voice acting, top notch !
