I think this is a really nice concept! I also really liked the filtering option for the screen I thought that was really cool! simple premise that makes for a fun little time! Good work!
Nice! This could fit pretty well as part of a micro-game/Warioware style compilation. I liked how it starts as a 'memory' type of game, but also adds challenge by making the characters move around.
A small detail: The 'Get new care' button is a good addition when the available items don't solve the current characters' needs, but I found it a little 'unfair' that it takes away points when it's something you do when you have no other choice.
Also more of a technical detail which can be easily updated, but the resolution of the game was a little too high for my screen so I couldn't see it all at once while playing.
Ah about the get more care button you're totally right! I thought because the secret option is often overlooked as available it should be a punishment that you don't see it and -50 point isn't that much... But in the end it just doens't feel nice. So seeing as how -50 points is inconsequential i should've made it 0 for game feel .
And indeed the resolution is too big i noticed that too late :(
I'm glad you enjoyed playing it! Warioware style game is a huge compliment to me :D
This is a really cool concept, and it would have been loads more fun if the ui was better. At the start of each round I felt like I had to get going really fast because I could see the timer going down, but I couldn't figure out what was written in time. I feel like cutting down on the text and cleaning up the between screens would help hugely
very cool idea! the mechanics you came up with is kind of addictive and reflects the theme very well~ One suggestion is maybe have the characters be a little smaller and avoid each other, I know it's part of the fun, but sometimes it's hard to get to the character you need to take care of.
Very cute! I think the only thing that confused me is sometimes the items would change. I'd have three items for three people, so my assumption is I will use all three items. The first two could be successful, and the third item will not work on the guy so I'll lose a life. Then new items will appear and they wont always be the same original three. This gives me the impression that if I know an item will not work, there should be a way for me to switch the items or call upon new ones.
A cute little game really digging into the theme! I love the artstyle and the premise of the game. I only wish I could get another hint of what certain characters need, because my memory is not that good (or maybe I am too tired still). Everything about this game fits, and the fact that you can pixelate everything is a super cool feature. Really well done!
Thanks so much for playing and commenting! I'm glad you liked it! I definitely overestimated my memory too! I thought 5 characters might be too easy but then when i got to it i realised it wasn't haha. Kept it in anyway >:)
Nice game! A fun little matcher taking the theme in a half dozen different directions. I like how there's a couple different ways to deal with things, too, and that some of the "always works on this type" you might also need for something else in the level. Very clever!
But also 0/10 what do you mean we don't care about the dog i ONLY care about the dog

Thanks! The pixel filtering option almost didn't make it in due to time. I'm glad you liked it!

I 100% agree! Because of the time constraints I didn't really bother cleaning up the UI and it really shows haha!
✔️Very polished, nice use of particles and sound effects.
✔️Quite intuitive and easy to understand.
✔️Multiple art styles is also a nice bonus.
➖The UI at the beginning of each round can sometimes be difficult to read.
Thanks so much for the feedback. I totaly agree about the UI! With more time i would've polished that more.

It's funny to play, I had a similar concept on my mind when the jam started! Very cool to see this in action.
Very good game, good game feel, simple and understandable concept
Ah that's great to hear! I was worried the concept might be a bit confusing
