Very interesting escape room theme and concept.
For improvement suggestions:
- Music is extremely repetitive and could benefit from better production. This would add a lot of feel and professionalism to the experience.
- Sound work could make things feel more responsive and alive.
- The hint system is good, but some of the puzzles are very difficult in their design. Can't tell if they are unintuitive or if I'm just bad at the game.
- It would be nice if one could look at multiple inventory items at a time. Trying to jump back and forth between them (like the dice chart and the doodles) was a bit frustrating.
Love the general concept and the tight focus on the core gameplay fun! Can't wait to see how this one evolves!
I honestly couldn't solve the first puzzle!
An interesting escape style puzzle game with lots of potential!
Looks like there is some nice puzzle game hidden, but unfortunately I couldn't get into it: The door didn't want to open, even after entering the right code. (The riddle was easy, but good.)
Some more comments:
- The graphics I have seen could be improved. The office building doesn't look like the HQ of a huge company and there is no background. What about just using some open source pics and a filter? That would look better with not much work. Otherwise a better 3D model would be needed. It's the first impression of the game, after all!
- Next page not only with mouse click, but also with space or enter, would be nice.
- The mouse clicks did not always work, although they gave a confirming sound.
- Whether the pattern should be white-grey or grey-white for the correct solution is unclear. Players have to try both?
I'm sorry the door didn't work - I can't immediately replicate the problem, but I'll keep looking into it. Your other feedback is very helpful too!
I've finally been able to track down the cause of this bug, and it should now be fixed.
