Sweet and short, fun concept of a game. I would love to see build up progressions to pick up combos and solve more problems. Because you are trying to regain your control, the pacing of tutorial is very good.

Hi! Very interesting concept. The idea is really interesting... I was just expecting more levels. The possibilities to have really complex puzzles is great. Try to add more levels! The mechanics is there!

Developer

Thanks. That's the plan.

Really cool concept and idea! I liked that the stage was designed so you only needed each bit to get the next control, and so on. It would be cool if the game was extended to have more controls over time, and the puzzles would only use the controls you already have, etc.

So funny idea! I really like it! The level is also designed extremely well with quite a few ideas packed into very little. Now will it work to make more levels? If needed, by extending the available keys beyond the arrows? I think you're up to something there. That could be really a quirky puzzle hit!

The graphics are a bit minimalist yet, but nice, and the music is funky and fits well.

I had initially only planned on the one level, but a couple people have suggested more levels with more controls available and I kinda like the idea of adding more complex controls in later levels such as E to flip a switch or G to swap gravity.

Great! I could also imagine to add SPACE for jumping. Or if you need more: R,B,Y to activate the red, blue and yellow switches... With all of this you could probably design quite a few interesting levels. The more items the less straightforward it gets, since you don't know anymore what you should get next, while having more options to do something already. (If you continue this project and like to have me contributing level ideas, just contact me, e.g., on Twitter or with the form on my webpage. That could be fun. :)

Very short and cute game, loaded fast :)
Controls (once you find them) work well.
Nice idea - definitely didn't feel like I wasted my time playing it, I had fun :)

A while ago there was a game with a similar idea- I think it was called "DLC quest" (and thanks to thr power of Google- I now know it was that).

One way or the other- the idea with unlocking basic abilities is nice,  the graphics and music are cute. I just wish it was longer than two minutes!

Keep up the good work!

Thanks. I first made this for a jam that had the theme separated and at least one other participant had a similar idea. I'll have to check out DLC quest.

Hey I remember playing your game during GDevelop Jam 3! 😁 I like the simple graphics and music, it works well and it's very cute! It doesn't seem like you've expanded on it since last time, but it's a good concept for a level based puzzle game. The goal of each level could be to go back home, and there could be several characters with different control schemes (some could shoot, fly, etc.).

If you decide to continue working on it, I think it could be a very cool game!

Neat to have someone back from GDevelop jam. Most of the tweaks were aesthetic like fixing the visuals for the tunnel, putting the transparent water layer at the front instead of it being behind everything. I wrote a devlog on them here. I had planned on only doing the one level, though I have had a couple people suggest expanding this game and having some levels with more unique controls sounds like it would be fun to create and play. Maybe someday I will return to and expand this game.
