Nice little game!
Actually harder than it looks.
I really like the persistence of your past mistakes in the form of... lander pieces on the floor.
Also i'm impressed by the number of levels.
Great work!
Thank you!
Really fun, challenging, and polished!
Thank you!
Nice.
Quite tricky and some easier levels may be useful for those struggling.
I would have prefered a full screen version to be a bit more immersed r did I miss a button?
And a more obvious petrol guage preferably colored as running out.
Good stuff
Thanks! I didn't realize how hard this was until I watched someone else try it for the first time. I'll keep all that in mind for next time.
Getting someone to play and actually watching them is very useful indeed.
With hours of testing you can get very good at a game and what you think is easy isnt for beginners!
It can also show what you know in your head but have not explained to the player clearly enough.
Good stuff.
Very well made game! As huge fan of the Lunar Lander arcade game, I had a lot of fun with this! The look and feel of the game is very good and the parallax caves add so much depth. I loved seeing all the smashed up modules from my previous failures littering the level. the obstacles are challenging but it feels great when you just scrape in a land it with the last of your fuel. great game!
Thank you!
This game really teach you how to be gentle hahahaha. Took me several tries before I can manage the first landing.
The visual of the game is so beautiful, it's easy for the eyes to look at, and create good atmosphere too!
Can you add an option for fullscreen? My mouse tend to leave the game a lot when trying to rotate the probe.
Overall, fantastic game !! 10/10
That would have been a good idea. I tried to get the game to capture the mouse, but had trouble figuring it out and just gave up. Now all of my Unity files are packed away, and I'm on to learning Godot.
Thank you for your feedback and kind words!
This looks amazing - I adore the UI design with the fuel guage and direction indicator, and the parallax effect on the background looks so so good. The colour palette you use is gorgeous too :)
Gameplay is great, requiring careful thought and consideration. Managed to play a few levels before I encountered any of the moving obstacles, and was surprised at how much they added when I got to one. Really impressed with the variety given the simple mechanics.
Might be a simple thing, but I really liked the level selection - I thought it was great that you give the player plenty of freedom to try different types of level, locking off more advanced levels with a similar concept until the player completes the earlier stages.
Success!
Thank you so much! All of the things you mention were really important to me and I'm glad they worked.
This game is sooooo freakin good! The polish and juice is top notch. The physics and controls feel perfect. Awesome difficulty. Simple yet satisfying to control. The simplicity of the controls and the way the mouse tilts the view feels very natural and feels great! Really challenging and i love the art style and the way the background creates a sense of depth without distraction. Fantastic work on this game! :D
Thank you! It means even more after seeing the crazy amount of juice and polish in your game.
Very kind of you to say -thanks! :D
good game yes indeed :)
Thank you!
First of all, I love the look of the game (the way you've created depth with the sharp, 2D vector graphics is really cool - along with the slick iconography). Second of all, it's quite challenging while still feeling super satisfying and fair, which makes for a great gameplay experience. One of my favorites so far! Here's my playthrough.
Thanks so much! All of your comments while playing really made my day.
I hope you'll try some of the other level paths when you can; the crushers (upper left path) and half-pipes (right path) are my favorites.
It was my pleasure! I'll have to check those out :)
Unfortunately, I cannot say much about this. Simply fantastic! The only thing I was missing were things that you can influence in the game like picking up objects, but otherwise everything is top!
Thank you! That might've been good. I did try a bunch of different machinery that you could move, but only left one of them in the game.
Fun game! Reminded me of all the terrible landings ive made in Kerbal
Thanks!
This was a lot of fun to play! I only did a few levels right now, but I will definitely come back to do a few more. This game deserves it :) I really liked the visuals, and the sound when you fire the rocket fits perfectly. It is a bit annoying to land the ship on that platform, but I guess that is kind of the point :P
Rotating the camera as you move the mouse was a nice touch as well. It is immediately and intuitively clear what it does. It takes a bit of practice to rotate in the right direction though, as I often wanted to steer one way, but moved the mouse in the wrong direction (I don't think this is a problem though).
The last level I played through was the one where you have to land the ship after a long drop down. Here I really liked the number that showed how far the platform was. This gave you some kind of indication when to use the thruster, instead of just randomly guessing. The only thing about this level is that it is a bit boring to wait for the rocket to fall each time (but maybe I just saw that too many times because I am bad at the game :P)
This was great fun! Thanks for making this :D
Thank you! I was quite proud of how that one sound effect turned out.
That drop level was actually added because one "playtester" (aka family member) really liked that free-fall feel in some levels. I tried to have very different challenges along each path, so I hope you get to play a good variety of them.
