Game was short and pretty good! Would love to see more floors! Music was pretty good though it only worked when in full screen on web. Also, the exit game and restart buttons didn't work on web. But, great game overall!

Game was nice. I loved the art style. Solid work on this! Keep working on it, excited to see how you change up the gameplay style from The Binding of Isaac

Note:

I couldn't hear any sound on web.
Bombs sometimes didn't do damage also could go off screen.
The music for the level needed some build up, it kind of jumped up at you when you started.
I didn't feel the boss music totally fit it was too cheerful and upbeat for the aesthetic of the game.

Overall though nice work so far!

Hi, I appreciate the feedback!

I am aiming to make gameplay more unique and experimental in my future games :)

I see what you mean about the boss music. I was going for dissonance, but I could've executed it better. I'll keep that in mind!

Liked the game, would not have minded if you just restarted another level, or made it bigger - Nice art and music too fit the mood

Cool isaac-like game, love the art.

Hoping to see more of it !

As everyone else mentioned, this is heavily inspired by binding of isaac, and I also agree that it needs more identity. Other than that it's pretty cool, I like the visuals and the game feel. As a bit of advice, I'd put more work into UI, it's a bit messy. lots of stuff going on and you can barely keep track

The core of this game does it’s job by being a clone of BoI. I do agree with the below comment that I think it could be more unique. A corn maze level does sound good, or just some overall halloween themed levels would be good. Maybe get silly with it and do like a Halloween party level or something. The basics work though and it does feel like BoI.

Hi, thanks for the feedback! I agree that making things silly or ridiculous can add to the fun / interest, so I'll keep that in mind!

Awesome clone. Love binding of Isaac, would totally play a finished copy of this. HOWEVER, I would love to see more separation from binding of Isaac. I think you did well in what you wanted to do, but for the game to stand on its own, id love to see some halloweenish/farm/pumpkin/harvest related badguys and layout. Maybe a corn maze could be a great idea for a floor?! It was fun, like really fun, but the similarities kinda kill it for me. Im gonna follow you on itch to see where it goes because I definitely wanna try the next version.

Hi, I really appreciate your feedback! After working on this project, I do feel more capable of creating from my own visions to help with the "unique" aspects, as you've mentioned. I might take a pause on making roguelikes, but the pumpkins will continue :)

If you ever need a play tester, im down. Ive been working on my own binding of isacc inspired game for a bit. Its kinda challenging doing what they did. Was cool how you were able to get it and make it all so smooth.
