This is a neat idea! I included it in my Fuck Capitalism Jam compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :)

I was on vacation for a few weeks and returned to a bunch of really great comments that got me to re-think and update this game.  Check out version two.

Here are some responses/ideas:

I love the quiet year/deep forest - definitely inspired me.

I wanted this to be a tool for visioning concrete, positive, local change.

I included wizards so that players would feel powerful, and changes would happen by magic - negating self-editing thoughts around feasibility and self-interest of powerful groups.

This game assumes that people do know their community well enough to know where the problems lie, or would be interested enough to find out.

This was meant to be GM-less, all players control a wizard and collaborate on using magic to affect change.

I like it, has some great potential to come up with concrete ideas in a playful and entertaining way! Making it your actual local area makes it impactful beyond just being a fun little game.

this is a cute game that seems like it'd be fun to play! i like the focus on improvement and moving towards a better future, and that the wizards bring a little silliness to the story.

some aspects are remind of The Quiet Year. whether intentional or not, i think you applied a lot of its strengths into a simpler format while keeping the heart of building something together with friends :)

Interesting idea, could be a really creative way to build some community projects or bring local volunteer groups together! It does feel a little incomplete to me, but I dig the thought and think it would be cool to see it expanded on!

Thanks for this feedback.  Upon reflection it did need to be expanded!  There have been substantive details added to the end-game in the second version (V2).  Check it out.  I would be interested to hear what you think.

ok i have to admit i was skeptical at first but then i thought about it and this is actually a great way to get people together and think about real concrete issues in a playful manner. using a real map is the key here. I think there's just enough game for it to be fun and interesting.

I do think you're missing some sort of end condition though, people just stop when they're bored?

Thanks for this feedback.  It was just what I needed to see a way to improve the game.  Check out the V2 file which now include progression in the form of updates and a prompt about when to end play.

Did you chose "wizards" to match the anti-capitalise "power" criteria :P? If so, I think that's a funny idea :P!
I like fantasy and the idea to have wizards against capitalism is well - quite original, to say the least! I have done only few table RPs, so for me it's a bit hard to image how easily it would be played. Maybe there is not enough information for beginners who don't have an GM who already knows how to animate this game. If you update it, I think people like me would need maybe to see an example of how it would work!
Anyway, congrats on your submission and for the fun idea :3 I like that it also gives the opportunity to players to express how they would view a better world
