How does your game fit the theme?
You have to Bee-Comb friends with all the townsfolk to progress! I also made a new friend from the Jam by collaborating with TipTopTomCat for the music. TipTopTomCat also provided excellent feedback, bug finding and pun support for this submission!
Did you use any assets?
Yes, TipTopTomCat made the AMAZING music for the game! Also I repurposed and reworked some of my own pixel art sprite sheets as well as created new assets for the jam specifically :D I also used Tronimal's GBFX - sound effects for Game Boy.

thanks so much! I just messaged you 🤠
Cute bees :)
thanks so much ^_^
Nice Cute game. Great art and Music!
Beautiful art.
thank you! :D
Thisis one was special! The original Link's Awakening is my favorite game of all time, and you captured the cozy and picturesque atmosphere of Koholint Island! Every character has its own peculiarity, which makes them relatable. Loved the Link's Awakening reference on the pose after getting a bee and the "patch of soft soil" thing just like in Oracle of Ages/Seasons! The art style and music are great and the ending was really touching!
thank you so much! I am so happy you enjoyed it and that it brought back feelings from Links Awakening! and the oracle games! Those are all incredible games :D
This is the most kawai adventure game of the Jam :D . bravo, it's beautiful, and the music fits perfectly with the atmosphere of the game! You can also spot a few references to well-known Game Boy adventure games in the animations, :p Bravo !
It runs perfectly on my Game Boy DMG!
woah I love your DMG mod! that green yellow is gorgeous! Thanks for playing it on og hardware! I really tried to make the visuals match the feeling of the game, thank you for your kind words ^_^
Really cute! I laughed when the heartwarming situation brought allergies to the mayor's eyes. The bees respawn every time I re-enter an area, but I think the point of the game was not about item scarcity. It was nicely fleshed-out and complete.
thanks for playing 🤩
And yes the respawn was intentional because initially I was going to have a whole story line where the mayor wanted to destroy the bees because they were everywhere all the time bothering his allergies but the granny wanted to save them and you had to do certain quests to convince the mayor but with 7 days… I was thinking too big haha so the bees everywhere was a remnant of that 🐝
I appreciate it! Thank you for playing it on console! It adds so much joy 🤠 I played the pact on my gbc and enjoyed it best that way!
Adorable little adventure! great job!
Thank you for playing 🤠 it means so much!
Cute! I love the little bees and the bear. I enjoyed walking around town, planting flowers, and doing the quests.
woah thank you! 🤩 it means so much cause I feel like you always deliver on the fun and aesthetics!!
Soooooooooo cute! This is absolutely one of my favourites! The gameplay loop is just different enough to stand out from the other fetch quest games.
Also it's completely irrelevant but a bug catching game was my backup idea for this game jam, and I named one of my levels Let's Bee Friends... we must have been operating on the same wavelength!
wow thank you for the kind words!!! ^_^ I would have loved to play a bug catching game from you! I have your game loaded up on my flash cart to play on my gb tomorrow! I can't wait to play it, it looks fantastic! Bee catching is a good wavelength :)
Very cozy! Good job
thanks my friend! I can't wait to take the quiz!! I'm hopefully going to take all of tomorrow to play the games ^_^
What a cute game. I liked playing it through the end. Good story and lovely characters. I liked the Zelda reference animation when you catch a bee. Also: sweet art.
Thank you so much!! :D I was determined to make a game with a definite beginning and ending but I kept adding these which made it harder on myself lol I'm so excited to try your game! I have been so busy at work I haven't gotten to play any of the games yet :'( , but I'm determined to play them all before the voting period is over!
Cute! Love it :D
thank you so so much ^_^ I'm glad you enjoyed it!!
what an incredibly precious game: i loved catching bees, the beetle fan, and the train.
the ending had me in awe: awesome job!!!
I appreciate your very kind words! I set out to make a very silly earthbound style dialogue and catching game and ended up getting pretty tired and emotional and added that lil twist at the end ^_^ I'm so excited to play your game on my gameboy pocket! It looks adorable :D
thank you so much! i hope you enjoy it as much as i enjoyed your game!
the twist was very emotional: i hope you get a good rest!! more than earned it!!
It takes some time, but I finally finished the game. (I didn't know there is an area next to station) quite relaxing. Both graphic and music offers a good vibe. .Characters ,even with just small amount of dialogue, show their pensonality. Good job
Thank you! I am glad you were able to finish and didn't give up! I tried make the characters as quirky as I could in the short period of time you get to spend with them :D
I didn't finish my game for the deadline, but my game was also bee related and called Bee Kind
oh that is understandable, it is alot of work to finish a game! I hope you will still finish it and share it! I'd love to play it!
Great effort. I love TipTopTomCat’s work too.
thank you so much for playing! I’m looking forward to playing your game very soon!! Yes the music TipTopTomCat provided really benefited the way the game felt even for me making it!
