Just found this through your BlueSky. Um wow this is crazy. Haha great job!

Insane little concept, executed quite well. I wonder what it says philosophically/artistically that it completely requires familiarity with the original.

Beautiful art and some fun puzzles! Really cute.

It's just the .gb file, played on a cartridge ;)

Thank you! I had some help from some sheet music, but it was a fun task to transcribe everything to work with a Game Boy.

I'm very pleased that you've put it into a game! I'm not able to play much of Alette If, but I did try it out, and the music creates an atmosphere that just sounds perfectly natural. Makes me happy. Cheers!

Thanks for listening, and taking the time to give such a detailed response!

To quote Wayne's World, "I just hope you didn't think it sucked!" Glad you liked it. I'm working on a nifty YouTube presentation too!

Really fantastic! The graphics, music, and gameplay are all great. The characters and concept remind me a little of Kid Dracula, but with a fabulous Day of the Dead flavor. Perhaps there's a bit too much re-spawning by the enemies, but otherwise nearly impeccable. Can't wait to play the full version. Here is an Analogue Pocket shot of the game!

Those arpeggiated chords are a lot of fun and add great texture. Fun to listen to. Great work!

I didn't have much time for art myself. I think sound is most important!

Love the chords and harmonies and feels on this... major key but with a slight tinge of wistfulness. A beautiful song!

Thanks!

Good luck to all! Excited to be part of this!

Jammin' beats! Really love the synchronized visuals!

Great music, and stellar presentation! I can't throw too many light switch raves or Strong Bad might ground me (but it's really fun to do)!

Cool!!

I feel happy I got a modestly-ambitious project finished (even if I was scrambling during the last hours to finish it!) Now I have a base to build something bigger off of. And since it was intended as a philosophically-flavored showcase for my music and my friend's art, I'm glad people really appreciated those elements, and I think it succeeded!

Rodrigo! Thanks for playing all 85! I only got 30 in or so T_T

But I loved: Love You To Death, The Pact, Musical Notes, What Friends Are For, GB Lunar Lander... that's 1/6 of what I played!

Very cute! A little hard for me to figure out the maps. I love the use of photos. I also enjoyed the classical music focus since I have a classical music project that uses many Game Boys!

Cute but I feel lost! Haven't been able to find the ghost after the cat

Good platforming feel! The jump sound effect is simple, but really adds a lot.

Interesting that the player has to "juggle" the pirates to keep them each out of the ghost's path. Tricky!

I like the feel of this! Fun "combat".

Nice animations (and really impressed by that head-silhouette effect). Great work!

Really colorful, good graphics! It's a treat just to watch the robot move, his animation is so smooth! I like the concept of the combat system but am having trouble getting used to it.

Music - Fantastic!

Very cute!

I think I found a bug (besides the characters): I got stuck around level 9  - the button on the platform wouldn't react when I stepped on it with the ant, so I couldn't let the butterfly out.

Very impressive that you put the extra work into a SGB format. And a link format! I did load two copies onto linked cartridges to try it out but didn't have time to discover: How does the one relate to the other in Mystery Quest?

Thanks for all your kind words! Artist Corey is really into comics. I don't know if he would ever make an animation, but he's drawn a lot of comics: https://coreybechelli.com/

Good stuff. I don't know if I've ever played a game where you had to dodge catcalls. I'm glad you made such a game!

Also-- very nice music!

Nicely done! The isometric control is a little hard to get used to, but the questions are great and I loved what each character said before their battles. Truly a love letter to your audience!

Alas, it seems I am not as hardcore a retro fan as a vampire...

Can't wait to see the end product. It's funky and fun to just dance along with the music...

Such a cool and fun concept. Can't wait to see the final game.

Thanks a bunch!

This is extremely well done for your first project! The music is good, the graphics are good, and the main mechanic of moving around something to jump on is a great concept.

For some reason, making the penguin crawl is my favorite part. It's really well executed! XD

I always admire your sense of humor! The Game Over screen made me laugh out loud. I'm so impressed that all these games were made in one week; yours is no exception. Great job. And an extra thanks to your translator!

A bit too unforgiving for me.. I too got stuck at the very second barrel of bananas. But I appreciated the artwork and the story.

Really sweet! Good atmosphere, good characters. Very nice job on the music!

Really great little arcade game!

Really nifty puzzle game. I love the ZX Spectrum-style graphics. Definitely a blast of color that makes the most of the GBC!

The musical theme is great. I actually have a classical-music multi-Game Boy project called The Dorothy Matrix 8-Bit Orchestra. So I'm all in on your classical theme and soundtrack!

Aww! Really cute! I think the sweet characters really embodied the theme :)

Thanks man!

...Hmm! Unsettling! A bit depressing. I think you got your point across effectively! Well done!

Some nice graphical things going on, too.

So cool!! I accidentally skipped through the intro at first, so I missed the (important!) story reason behind the attitude-changing mechanic. But I'm so impressed by the level design, and especially the adaptive music. I believe I know how it was done and it's so, so awesome.

Also - Really cute art! The ending was so poignant -- a crying friend was helped just by pressing the B button like I had been doing all along!
