Really enjoyed the music on this one and foundation for an enjoyable game is certainly there. The jumping mechanic, especially the fast downward traject gets a bit in the way, especially when there are frame drops that lock the players ability to trigger the multi jump. Other than that, the rooms get slighty more difficult but rarely add mechanics. Difficulty is raised by less non-harmful space to navigate. Also , there is a room with water, which physics are not fully utilised. I know, I must sound really negative, but I see that there were many ideas and just needed a bit more time to flesh out. If future projects add more mechanics and utilise them to make for diverse and more challenging game play, there is a lot of promise!

very inconsistent entry, but it is a digital media horror basically, so, well, it's a yes
Did you build the game in GB Studio? If so, did you use hauntology's platformer plus plugin for the double jumps? If not you should give it a try. This might fix the issues with the jumping mechanics, the others have mentioned earlier. Other than that a nice little platformer with an interesting setting.
i did
Fun little game! I also had trouble with the jump mechanic feeling a bit heavy. Took plenty of getting used to the multiple jump aspect too, wasn't as intuitive as I could have liked. But overall, this shows plenty of polish, and was a fun little game!
The game has a cool character design. The mechanics were not very well executed, getting a little inconsistent, gravity too high, phases with constant lag, and no delay on projectiles. But it's interesting, I was curious about the game until the end, the level design is also very good.
Your character feels so heavy and difficult to air jump with, I had to exploit the ability to shoot projectiles and spam as many as I can on the screen, slowing the game down long enough to consistently air jump. After that, the game became too easy, as the slower speed and infinite jumps allowed me to clear levels by button mashing.
But that being said, I found the visual design very charming, and I still had a fun time! You still did a great job! I suggest trying to make your character less heavy, as that would probably give a greater window to air jump too. If you insist on infinite jumps, then at least cut down on how many projectiles you can have onscreen at once, so slowdown exploits aren't so easy to pull off.
It is a good idea for a game! I had fun!
I am going to download it to my game boy. I think it should feel better.
I did experience a bit of lagging. The game sometimes gets a bit slow.
The music is great!
loved the character designs. i struggled with the controls a bit. great job!
I have a bit of trouble getting used to the very high gravity of the character, but I got to level 4, I got this screen as soon as 4-1, so I couldn't see the rest, snif :p
Pretty fun! The jump seems kind of inconsistent and at least on the web version there is some slow down. I ended up getting a frozen white screen after dying on 4-4. Really like the art and theme too.
I got a frozen screen too, and error screen. Don't remember the stage, I think it was late in the fourth world as well.
Cool jump mechanic.
