How does your game fit the theme?
Imagine you're back in time in 1984 and trying out a weird program on your new Macintosh computer. Also, there's an animated stopwatch!

Did you use any assets?
Many pre-existing assets, but none originally formatted for Game Boy use (see credits on game page)

Cool to see this old design again. Original game. But I'm afraid I don't know what to do with my score. :D

Developer

Yeah, the design sticks with you! Susan Kare is an OG for giving the original Mac its flair. For your score, you can treasure it forever, or see if the game scores you differently if you take the test again! The scoring leaves it to you to decide what you think of it.

OK, that was special! :)

Developer

:D Thank you! Hope you had a nice meditative moment!

I really like that 1-bit ancient mac vibe. It would be cool if the answers to the questions were used more later in the game. That was really cool in the game Seaman.

Thanks! It was fun to do something with this aesthetic. I've had it on my mind a lot lately!

I had a lot of ideas to make a fuller experience that I just didn't have time to implement, unfortunately. C'est la vie!

Original game. Maybe use a cursor instead of the mouse but I think you want to use mouse for macintosh. And show number of question. Pleasent

Thank you!

Game Boy Color (or advance) will give the very best experience with regard to graphical display, and uses several color images!

Submitted(+1)

Very intriguing and different that's for sure :) . A little explanation on the final score would be nice! How, and with what tools did you transform the Rorschach images? It's very well reproduced, congratulations!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! The Rorschach images took a small bit of work. They were reduced in size in Photoshop, then the resulting mess was smoothed rand/or simplified by hand, using GB Studio's four DMG colors. I re-inserted or eliminated details as I saw fit. I tried to keep in mind the limitations of color palettes, and finally created several partial-duplicate palettes in GB Studio for displaying the appropriate images in color.

The score is offered without context or scale -- how do you feel about how you feel?

Submitted(+1)

I had myself to change some actual pictures, in photo to integrate in a gameboy game for my previous title, I know that it's quite complicated to choose between 2 tiles of 8x8 pixels so that it fits in Gb studio :) . On the other hand I did not understand your question? Excuse me I'm French, and I think my English level is not good enough :) .

Developer(+1)

What I mean is - you must interpret the score in your own way. The player must find their own meaning in the score, just as in the rest of the game. J'espere que c'est un peu plus claire. (my attempt at French!)

Developer(+1)

I think your images were adjusted for Game Boy very well! Great job!

Hi, I don't understand why you gave me a score at the end ?

Otherwise the drawings were very nice and the concept original, although I did not understand the link with the imposed theme.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Since the theme is "time", the game is a throwback to 1984 and the original Macintosh computers. It's up to the player to interpret their own experience of the game!
