That's really cool. 😎 I don't remember seeing a game like this. I also got confused by the portal thing, but playing a few levels got me going. Well done to both of you!

Theme interpretation
Save Ambar, the little girl must reach the end!
When I saw the theme "hydrid" I automatically had an idea, mix the painted cardboard games we make with my daughter Ambar (4 years old). She constantly has crazy ideas for very complicated games with confusing rules and mechanics hehe. In this game I try to capture the spirit of those analog games and take them to a digital video game.
It is a way to show all the sacrifice that parents make to take care of our children and accompany them on their journey through life

I wasn't sure what I thought of this game (besides loving the aesthetic!), but then I came to the comments, and saw that the portal was meant to be something you figured out. I went back to the game, and had a great time!
Good work!
I loved the visual style of the game and the freedom in the level selector. The collisions detection was a bit frustrating, and it was hard to understand the teleportation mechanic, I think it needs another visual feedback. It is interesting to know you developed the game with your daughter.
Thanks for your comment in our game.
It's very wholesome that you worked alongside your daughter. The gameplay is pretty basic and soundwise it felt short, but the visuals are REALLY creative and I love the cardboard drawn feel of the game. Pretty nice entry.
It'd be cool if you checked our entry too!
This was so awesome! I'm terrible at these kind of games so I had to read through the comments to figure out how to finish the levels. But that is a testament to how much I wanted to play it! LOVE the graphics!
The papercraft / cardboard visuals are so awesome. The chiptune is a bit annoying. The gameplay is really cool, but I think the mapping should be changed to make it easier to play.
Fun game to play! I actually liked the level progression and the objective was easy to understand once the portal mechanic is mastered. The aesthetics were adorable and fun, but I think the audio could have a bit more of work and I didn't really understand how the theme interpretation has been set up. It's a nice and pretty game overall!
Also It'd be great if you could check out our game!

Wow, this is fantastic! The graphics look amazing!! I love the "sticks" that the characters are on!
This is super awesome! Auto-win for me. I can completely relate to this, so probably slightly biased - my 6 year old suggested most of the game over screen, sometimes I do worry about her ha ha :P
Took a bit figure out the portal logic, but said that, I like how it's part action part puzzle, but not too hard, and I love the art concept!
LOVE the visual presentation. The platforming felt responsive too. And just as a concept I think you executed the theme well- fun to see that the characters were likenesses of you and your daughter.
I only have minor critiques: The mapping of L to shoot is kinda awkward, especially when the game also uses the mouse for another mapping, and the use of the portal was a little unreliable sometimes.
Overall I think you made a wonderful little game here with tons of room to expand.
Very good work! I really love the cardboard graphics idea and realization, and the sound fits very well. Good job!
