Theme interpretation
The first thing we thought of with the theme Moonshot, was the idea of our moon being slung across the universe.

PROS:
CONS:
This is a nice game, with good atmosphere and mechanics, though unfortunately the controls were a bit difficult for me to grasp :(
I think you got a really nice and original idea but the final game has some issues, because it was quite hard to play (too many things to understand and learn at the same time). I think you should see some people playing it for the first time to evaluate how to improve it.
Anyway: you made a great submission, congrats!
Hey thanks for taking the time to play, and comment! That is definitely some solid advice, and that's sort of what we wanted to accomplish with this Game Jam. All the feedback we've gotten so far, we've taken into great consideration for our next release.
Beautiful graphics and UI! Also great atmospheric music!
I had a bit of trouble understanding the mechanics, the explanation text moves fast and I ended up dying very quickly, not having a lot of room to experiment with the controls. A super simple introductory level would be very much appreciated.
Very innovative! Well done!
Thank you for the kind words <3 That is definitely the first thing we're going to tackle. We shorted ourselves on time, so once the Jam voting session is up we'll be working towards polishing the game for another release. Thanks again for your time and consideration <3
The control is a bit confusing to use and I died a dozen times to figure out what each key does exactly. Would recommend a tutorial session because once you are sent to the map, you die very quickly and its quite frustrating.
Really interesting concept, though I felt the way it controlled was a bit clunky. I couldn't find a good place for my hand to be on the keyboard, and I couldn't see enough of the play field to plan my movement. I really liked the visuals though! I think perhaps a more dynamic camera might fix the later problem.
Quite hard to grasp the goal of the player and the controls are a bit weird, it gets time to get the grip. The intro and the music are great! Glad to see more Godot games each jam. Good job!
I also had trouble with the controls and understanding what I should do. But the audio was great!
I also had difficulties with controls at first, but eventually got the hang of it. Maybe a really simple tutorial level could be useful? Also great graphics and audio!
Glad you were able to get a hang of the controls! We've actually talked about implementing a tutorial level and plan to have one in our full release of the game. Thank you for your feedback! We truly appreciate it!
I could not figure the controls at all ): Neither the brake nor accelerate buttons seemed to do anything to the game, and I kept getting sucked into black holes.
Hey Snuffy,
I'm sorry to hear you had issues playing the game. So far we've only tested the game on firefox and chrome. If you're using another browser, you might run into issues. If you are using one of the two that I mentioned, let us know which version you are running and we can test it a bit on our side.
I was using Firefox. On a Mac, if that makes a difference.
Interesting concept, but a little tricky to control.
If you like platformers, please try my game.
Damn ! The controls are something else, I was really lost when I first started the game until I started getting the hang of it :)
Definitively very innovative game, the redirect powerup could be better if it clamped the vector instead of cancelling the powerup if out of bounds :)
The art catches your eye immediately and makes you want to play. Then once you're in, the gameplay and controls feel very smooth and satisfying. I love seeing the big green numbers pop up. I'm a big fan of that kind of feedback.
Real innovative control scheme in use here. Easy to get the hang of while still allowing for one to get more skillful at. Great job on the art work too!
Thanks for the comment! Majority of the art assets were made by other creators here on itch, you should check out the License.txt in the Github if you're curious. Some of them are free and really useful :)
Thanks for the tip! I definitely will.
