great experience, was fun to play!

The gameplay was fun and enjoyable, great job!

Amazing graphics! Short but sweet. Loved the insects showing up in the background. Once I realized they just eat you at the slightest touch, I legit got scared when I saw a wasp flying through the background :p

A bit more leeway on the climbing and jumping would be nice. But otherwise, great work!

Also, would you mind sharing how you created the graphics? Vector art? Handdrawn? Painted? It’s a really cool style that I haven’t seen before.

Submitted

Wow! Incredible artwork - I love that the ant straight up eats you XD and you legit fall down holes :D

Great job, lots of fun!

cool game, nice animations :) I felt like the controls could work smoother, but most things worked as expected. Nice!

Developer

For sure something we'd improve if we continued working on this is the controls but I'm glad you were able to enjoy the game despite that.

Great presentation. Reminds me of Prince Of Persia. A lot of love went into this game. Liking the different challenges and details like bugs flying in backgrounds.

Developer

Thanks for the compliments, Prince of Persia is a good game so I'm glad ours reminds you of it.

Graphically, it's awesome ! I don't why did you add a pixel mode/filter, it's not really good, and it hides your amazing job on drawing !!

For the game itself it's a bit short but really understandable for a game jam game, gameplay is cool and work well, and It's nice to see that you have implemented several mechanics to escape bugs ! Maybe just if I had to say something, it's that the controls are a bit too rigid.

In any case you did a wonderful job, congratulations! :D

Developer

Ha, fair point on the pixel mode, it was just a little something fun we added but something we'd take out if we were to continue the game.

Thanks, for the compliments and the critique on the controls, we've had that from a few people now so definitely something we'll tweak.

It was very interesting! I love the graphics too!

Developer

Thank you for your kind comment :)

Player animation is very nice. I like it. just a little short :-)

Good job

Developer

Thanks for your review, yeah we didn't have enough time to flesh it out but maybe we'll make it a bit longer in the new year.

Amazing game! The graphics are fantastic, and the level design is very well done. The jumping up the mushroom was a little buggy for me, I kept sliding off. Other than that, I have no complaints!

Developer

Ah, you're the first person to mention the sliding from mushrooms, sorry you experienced that, glad it didn't spoil your experience too much though :)

Awesome game for a jam. Cute graphics, interesting gameplay and perfect theme fit.

Developer

Nice, glad you enjoyed the game and liked the graphics  👏

That's a simple am fun game, I like it!

It would be really awesome to see it more polished and with a longer gameplay. The visuals are pleasant and good looking.

Great job!

Thank you for your kind commnet. Really glad you liked the game.

wow, this was an amazing game, I love all the mechanics!! I just wish there was more

Developer

Thank you for your compliments and for finishing the game. Don't worry, you're not the only one who wishes there was more to our game. We'll do our best to add more to it in the coming year.

Marvelous game! I would also play a longer version :)

Developer

Thank you so much. We'll keep you posted when/if we update it.

Pretty impressive! The game is easier than most games in this jam, but it is perhaps not aimed at hordcore gamers. With some lighting and sound effects this could be a seriously scary game (and horror games tend to be popular).

Developer

Thanks for playing, and I'm glad you found it impressive. Yes, there is definitely room for improvement with the sounds and lighting, something we will look into when/if we have some time.

Very cool almost hand drawn art style with very fluid looking animations. Overall a beautiful looking game. This game reminds me so much of a of 90's games, I cannot recall the name, where you control a human trying to escape like an alien invasion and is all about timing and platforming. Anyways, nice work :D

Developer

Haha yes it seems to be reminding many people of 90's games :D

Also the art style is hand drawn, thanks for noticing! I illustrated all the sprites and backgrounds on my ipad in an app called procreate - time consuming but fun!!

Amazing work! I love the artwork and the animations and the gameplay mechanics!

I wish there were more stages!

Developer

Thanks so much for the lovely comment! We had big ideas for a longer game but unfortunately time got away from us- Will hopefully expand it post jam :D

Great implementation!

I understand this is a jam, but it's a bit weird to end the game after the tutorial. But overall, it was very fun to play :)

Developer

Fair point, yeah we had a lot more ideas but sadly not enough time to implement them. Glad you liked what you played though 👍
