Super fun game! It took a bit to get used to the controls, but they were smooth and fit the game well. Good job!
I like the controls, they're challenging in a good way! Couldn't get past the clapping hands on level3 (or 4), that level is really hard :(.
Great job though!
Thanks! Yeah, I definitely need to work on my level design, because that level is still hard for me haha.
Great game! it took me a couple of attempts to master the mechanic, but after that was a lot of fun
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it :)
I think it is great, that you tried out a unique movement system for the player. I love movement based games, where you really have to master your inputs to get good. Furthermore, I don't think the game is hard once you master the movement, but in my opinion it is missing some easier tutorial levels.
I know difficulty is hard to balance, but generally speaking it is more fun to play some levels you can complete easily while learning the mechanic, rather than dying dozens of times until you master the movement. (I could be completely wrong, too, and maybe you are going for that "Getting over it" difficulty-mastery style.) This is just my personal opinion, but maybe it will be worth it, if you give the difficulty balancing another shot.
Overall a cute and fun game. Perfect for a game jam!
I agree. I wanted to add a lot more easier levels to get used to the movement, but unfortunately ran out of time. I do need to work on my level design in general. Thanks for the feedback, once the voting period ends I really hope to update this game.
Really fun game, I like the idea. I suck at these sorts of games so I found it difficult but it is very addictive.
Yeah, it was a bit too difficult for me too. I had trouble just trying to test that levels could be completed, haha. But I'll continue to work on it. Glad you enjoyed it :)
Interesting but challenging!
Gave me some flappy bird flashbacksvery interesting player controls. I wish there were more instructions on what you have to do after level 1 because the controls are not super forgiving and exploring to figure out what you have to do can be a bit frustrating.
Nice game! The movement control system is really interesting.
It took me a few attempts to understand I could still redirect the player after the initial launch.
It would be great to add some audio!
Really fun game this.
The controls are well implemented but still very challenging
Good job
Thanks so much! :)
Creative player controller!
Fun game overall.
Thank you for the kind words, glad it was fun.
I enjoyed the gameplay - fun movement system! I died so many times in a first stage but once I get used to it, it's so fun :)
Haha, glad it was fun. I still find myself accidentally dying a lot!
it was really fun! specially once you get used to the controls, but boooyy i hated those clapping hands e.e hahaha
Yeah, I still think the hands can be tweaked to be a bit more forgiving :D
Really good, polished, and looks very good. Feels nice to fly, very tight controls, altho it was pretty hard for me. Nicely done overall.
Thank you for the feedback! I'm sure my terrible level design didn't help with the difficulty either haha, but I was in a rush.
Absolutely love the movement system, and how the levels were based around it! It's incredibly responsive so I always felt like failure was due to my own mistakes rather than the game out to get me. The fly is also so cute-- I wish there was some sound to accompany this game, but otherwise it's fantastic! I can even see it being scaled into a full release.
I really appreciate your feedback! Yeah, I didn't really get to start on my entry until there was only a couple days left. The game desperately needs some audio hahaha.
