lovely game, fun to play
Spent alot of time on this one!
I really enjoyed playing your game, reminds me a lot of old-school games.
As others said, more clarity on controls would be great. But overall it's really well polished. Nicely done!
I couldn't figure out how to climb up the hill in the screenshot, but I enjoyed myself playing it up to that point. The snail surrounding me surprised me (in a good way)! Lost a lot of heart on that one.
yeahhh.. I should have made a tutorial about it, but you can actually double jump. But there you go.
Hard oldschool game but I really missed the diagonal shooting. I liked the terrain sloping and unfortunately could not kill the boss.
Damn this is hard. Nice graphics, maybe a little more clarity on controls would help.

The game was a really nice challenge. Boss fight was interesting too. Like another commenter said, the only thing missing is letting player know that double jump is possible. I killed like 30 snails until I figured out I can jump up there :D

This was really hard, but fun at the same time! To me, it seemed like a game that would be on the SNES. I do wish that the enemies would drop something like health when you killed them, but other than that, it was a really cool game!
Hey thank you for playing! I had that in mind at some point in development, but no time for the implementation.
Man this was HARD, in a good way! I got to 0 lives and just about managed to beat the froggy man, the first level really had me sweating when I was overrun by bees.
The only thing I’d mention is that I don’t think the game tells you that you can double jump… I was stuck at a certain point in the level for a minute before I worked that out.
Very good game otherwise, looks and sounds great, and you can definitely feel the Ghosts n Goblins influence

based on the monster name, so this is based on Megaman series right? Good job to design the level, just the boss battle is too easy (moreover, after that hard level)
Hey thank you for playing! I never played any Megaman game so interesting you brought that up. I was inspired by Ghost n Goblins mostly.
I thought it was Megaman because the boss name is FroggyMan, in which all the boss enemies are XXX-Man (ex: GutsMan, FireMan, IceMan, CutMan, FreezeMan, etc.)

There's a phrase that gets thrown around a lot lately, especially for modern versions of old 64 bit and greater games called "Nintendo Hard". Accurate as it can be in some cases, what it really means is leveling the challenge to the amount of content that you can create. For me here, the little frogman moving around and using his two weapons to beat the level and boss that's included was quite a lot of fun. I did lose my three lives once, I will admit, but it was pleasure to play and I really could see such a game going forward as a full 12-18 level game. The only suggestion I would proffer is to modify the rockets. I would make them limited and more powerful since at this point the only thing that can stop your bug spray/green flamethrower is something with better distance or damage. Thank you for making this!
