lots of bugs. Everywhere. Annoying... but sometimes interesting.

Nice approach to the theme, cool idea of gameplay!

Oh my goodness I laughed and jumped SO much at this game- my husband kept asking what I was doing. He's playing now!

Honestly I LOVED how trippy this game was and the unexpected journey it takes you on. I'm so sorry I had to give up on the maze section though because a spider killed me and it was way too realistic and scary😂

Pretty strange and in some parts it also seems unpolished, but I think the general idea of the game is great! Cool work!

Very weird, but it was a cool game. I liked how you combined the 2D and 3D sprites to make the story more interesting. The controls could be improved a little bit, but it was a really fun game to play, and was fun to see what came next.

Every time I thought I had figured out what this game is, it changed its mind in the most mind melting way possible. This is brilliantly innovative and in a jam full of meta jokes about bugs out does them all with narrative cunning in the most WTF way possible.

A great game that is merely pretending not to be with it’s weirdly simple 2D pirate platformer start and simple graphics.

I just wish it was longer.

Haha thanks! I'm happy you enjoyed it!

While the controls of the FPS parts had different sensitivities and levels of "floatiness" (the part with the rifle being the better imo) I kind of just enjoyed the ride on this one! Didn't really feel like I knew what was going on half of the time, but I had fun :)

Great allegory of game development with some very surreal imagery.

The only thing that bugged me a bit was the controls. In the platformer phase I thought that the gravity could've been stronger as the character was floating in the air too long. Also I was sticking to walls during jumps.

Also during the maze phase I was able to collect the required coins just in the bottom half of the map, so I felt that the top half was a bit wasted (the player doesn't have to explore that part to progress).

That being said this game is very innovative. This is how all narrative-based games should be!

That intro was a wild experience of confusion! I like the maze + overhead camera of the main game, though the mouse controls felt floaty. I also mangaed to break the maze by jumping on a spider and get on top of the walls.

I think you could do with trying to have a bit of a tighter focus, that would improve things a lot and let you have more time developing a more coherent experience next time! Good job getting something done, and I hope you had fun making it! :)

hehe Yeah I agree that it is confusing! I didn't really have a plan when starting. The story just kind of happend while testing out new things.
About the mouse controls I noticed that when running the game in browser the sensitivity is much higher. Not sure how to fix that...

fun and charming experience with clumsy controls! I am no arachnophobic but  I was screaming at the 3D maze section when they got too close.  the spider AI had some problems  in the maze   running into each other and getting stuck  so I needed to get extra close to aggro and   unstuck them.   Was happy to shoot them after that,  reminded me of the game  "Earth Defense Force Insect Armageddon"

Introduction was very trippy, loved the dimensional switch. Spiders are deadly!

Really clever concept! I was quite amused by the starting 2D scene and then quite surprised by the change to the 3D maze. Though, I didn't get through it, even with the bird's eye 'C' view. Those dang spiders kept finding me :P
Nice work!

haha thanks! Yeah I didn't know if I wanted to do a 2d game or 3d so I did both :)

I was thinking sort of pacman3d in the maze. There are more surprises if you get through the maze!
