Mission complete!
What an engaging game! Please create more levels _
The only thing that I noticed was a lack of colour contrast. That might make it harder for certain users. But you can fix that, can’t you?
Sure.
So I have a background in Frontend WebDevelopment with a focus on accessibility. As such, I developed a sense for low contrast (next to other things). You’re using gradients for your tiles and background, but approximate them to https://contrast-ratio.com/#%23fdf400-on-%23ca9300 you can see, that the contrast is too low.
That means, for some people it will be hard to tell apart what is a tile and what is background.
You could play around with https://coolors.co/ca9300-fdf400-fe3100-2c6e49-08415c (after locking the colours you plan to use) to generate a colour palette, that might work out better. (Hit space bar to create the next colour combination).
After playing through all the games in the jam, I've made a post on some of my favorites and included your game! Check it out here.
Seems like an interesting idea, however the game will not let me progress through the tutorial, the "- Next -" button doesn't respond to clicks. Looks like some other folks are having a similar issue.
Liked the game, pretty polished one! Wish there were a reset level button if you got stuck
Played this on stream. Check out the vod here for my thoughts. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1005576731?t=00h21m45s
This is a very clever puzzle and is more challenging that it seems at first! I had a lot of fun trying to figure these out :)
Very fun and challenging game. I like the sound effects and music that you used. Nice job!
