Unfortunately, the game screen is very scaled and I cannot play it. Tried in Chrome and Firefox (MacOS)
It’s supposed to resize to fit inside the screen but it would appear that doesn’t work on MacOS. According to @herebefrogs, who had a similar problem, scaling down the browser view to 50% should make it playable.
Ok, will try to scale down
Unfortunately, that didn't work :(
Played this on stream. Check out the vod here for my thoughts. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1003938134?t=00h56m09s
Nice. A game made using Pixijs
I really like the music. It’s really calming. At level 4 I took a bit of brute force solution by holding jump button 😂 Nice puzzle! (didn’t yet finish all level though)
Do you render the text using Pixijs? Cuz it’s blurry. Try setting round pixel to true. If not work, also try disable antialiasing, set PRECISION_FRAGMENT to ‘highhp’, and/or set MIPMAP_TEXTURES to OFF. Unfortunately it really depend on the fonts.
Smart concept and nicely crafted levels.
Just one nitpick: the game starts in a super large resolution, bigger than my laptop's screen. I had to force Chrome to downsize the page to ~50% so I could see the whole level.
Sorry about that sizing issue. It’s supposed to resize to fit nicely on whatever size screen you are using, but clearly that stopped working. I’ve tested it on Windows 7 and 10 with Chrome and Firefox and never had any issue. Could you tell me what browser + operating system you are using so I can try to fix this?
I was using Chrome (90.0.4430.93) on Mac OS (Big Sur 11.3), but I wouldn't be surprised if it had to do with itch.io's iframe in which our games run. It gave me some trouble on my own entry.
I would rate this game from 3.5 - 4 stars out of 5, it is very interesting with its concept and it gets very difficult, but stays fun. I could definitely see this concept being fully fleshed out if you chose to do so!
Just a note. levels are unlocked based on number of levels completed, regardless of what level you play. you can play level 1 five times and unlock the next five levels.
Oops! Thanks for telling me this, will fix by the deadline. (I can’t believe I didn’t notice this in testing)
Edit: all fixed
no problem
