Played this on stream. Check out the vod here for my thoughts. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1004495752?t=01h09m50s

Thanks for the feedback and for the criticism, I can always appreciate good ol criticism :) You bring up a lot of good ideas that would improve the game and if I decided to expand on the game I would definitely try to implement them. There's one point that stuck out to me that was hard to think about how to fix it which was getting the aiming to be easier, and I had some ideas like making the bullets gravitate to the enemies the more they bounce, but that might make the game to easy or feel to like automatic, so it will be a challenge fixing that. Once again thanks for the feedback

really well done, loved both the art of the game, and the use of the mirrors.

Had fun playing this through.

I did found it quite easy to just let my mirrors go down, and then complete the level by shooting directly up destroying a lot of bombs before they even come on to screen - maybe varying where at the top the bombs spawn would help stop this?

Good entry, nice job :)

Developer

Yeah, I realized it might get too easy with the faster fire rate from the mirrors dying so I'm going to have to tone the increase down a bit, and that is a very good idea to vary the bomb spawn point. Thanks for the feedback!

Hah nice dynamic where it gets easier when you are more defensless! On the one hand you want to keep your mirrors, but on the other hand you want to be able to aim to the damn bombs 😄 It is extremely satisfying to hear and see them blow up.

In testing, without the fire rate increase it was pretty tedious to play without any mirrors so I decided to add that, but from the comments it seems a little to OP 😅. Thanks for the feedback

I thought this was a fun game. I like the title Mirror Madness (that's what I named my game too). It was definitely easier to hit the enemies with fewer mirrors, and I also think it would have made it a little better if there were some background music. Overall, I found this game fun to play.

Thanks for the feedback!

Fun little game, was satisfying when I eventually landed some hits and blew up the enemies, especially with the nice sounds of the laser bouncing off the mirrors.

Actually found it easier to hit enemies when I had less mirrors and didn't notice the damage decrease as it still looked to be killing them in one shot.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, not noticing the damage decrease is because of how many of the enemies are only 2 HP which allows you to kill them with one bounce, however with these lasers that go overkill, they will bounce off the enemies that they are able to kill in one shot and also bounce around the sides more.

Pretty good, I liked the xylophone-like sounds when my shots bounced between mirrors.

Developer

Thanks, I designed the clink of the mirrors to be like in Mario games when you throw a shell and kill many enemies in a small amount of time to add that extra satisfaction factor
