A very interesting experiment and it turns out fantastic!

Thanks!
I wonder if a full game won't be too much.
I mean, too much unease and it would mean probably dig maybe too much deep in player conscience.
Anyway, I'm glad to see we get a rather similar idea in a way.
Also, as for L45ER_BOT, I hope I'll have time to try your game before the end of voting.
Take care!
Played this on stream. Check out the vod here for my thoughts. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1006252379?t=02h41m18s
Thanks for playing and streaming (all the games).
All in all, I'm rather agree with you.
That's why I call it more tech experimentation than a game.
Also, unfortunately, I don't think the API allows to add whispers, intonations, etc.
Btw, that's why I chose a modified psychopath voice (and such a weird theme): because whatever I did the voice didn't sound natural.
Anyway, nothing will probably be better than a real human voice, with feelings, current mood, and a background. ; )
Nice work with the Web Speech Synthesis API, it's quite convincing!
I played a couple of times to see if I could prevent the black mirror from breaking!
Interesting idea to create a dialogue game, I like it :)
Btw I played in Chrome/Mac, but had no audio
Thanks!
Sorry about this (the main interest of the game is voice imo), but I'm not surprised.
As MDN stated, the Web Speech API is still experimental and it depends on browsers and operating systems (especially regarding the number of available voices).
To be true, for that reason, I hesitated to publish it for the jam, that's why I call it more like an experimentation than a game.
Anyway, thanks for playing.
Btw, I noticed your game but still get no time to play it properly for the moment.
It looks very interesting. ; )
pff I had no idea what was coming given the description. I turned down my volume and screen brightness just in case 😅. But nice take on the theme! I haven't seen anything like that, and it is definitly an interesting game mechanic!
Thanks! : )
Well, surprising people was the main idea.
As I wrote, it's more experimentation of a still-experimental API (so the limited support and some weird bugs) than a real game.
This is also what jams are made for I guess.
Oh, just saw your entry: I really like the idea! ; )
(I'll play more later)
Take care!
