Tried the game! One of the best things of this game is the music for me, minimal and with SFXs that complement it. I really liked that part of the game. The gameplay is good and interesting, I wish only a better collision and platform movement and a higher jump. Solid entry, congratulations!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. I’m happy to hear that you liked the music and SFX (especially since I rushed everything at the end!) I agree on the collision and platform movement not being good. I didn’t realize the jump was low, so I’m glad you (and others) have mentioned it. I’ll take everything into account for the post gamejam version.

Dude really up and did every optional challenge, well done lol.

Stasis pistol was cool, I wish it interacted with more features of the game though.

Apart from the platforms being slippery, I think the physics didn't feel the best. It sometimes felt like your character was struggling to get up hills, and jump physics were a bit weird.

I did enjoy the level design though. there were cool features in the game, like non-linear platform paths and the magnetic rail. Well done on submitting!

Thanks for the feedback. I didn’t notice the struggle up hill at first, but now that you mention it, I see it too.

I think I spent too much time on other things instead of focusing on the core game mechanic (the statis pistol.) I appreciate the comments, and will use it to create an improved version.

I liked the sound effects and music, overall great audio. The time-stop mechanic is satisfying. Well done!

Developer

Thanks for playing and for the feedback, much appreciated

This game felt pretty slick ... but the moving platforms were too slick -- I didn't like how I slid right off them. The freezing mechanic was very good, and the graphics and music were both nice. I don't have a lot of patience for platformers so I didn't get too far.

Developer

Thanks for the playing and the for the feedback too. I agree, it’s too slippery, almost like walking on ice. I’m actually working on fixing that right now, and will update the game post-jam.

The game has a really satisfying feel to it. I like the smooth art style too.

Developer

Thanks for playing and the warm comment

i like the death sound effect :)

Developer

Thanks for playing. The sound is actually me and a mic, then adding some effects on top of it

Really like interpretation of the theme, with freezing individual objects. Nice and unusual graphical style, almost like vector drawing, with sandbox-like feeling of Matter.js physics. Level 2 is quite difficult though, with platforms sliding away from your feet, took me quite a few tries to finish it. It also feels like the jump could’ve been higher.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. The slippery platforms are definitely something I wanted to fix. Maybe I’ll look into it post-jam (thanks for the reply on my comment on your game)

Very cool idea with the freezing of the objects. However, it is pretty difficult and I had some performance issues. Might be a problem with my computer. Unfortunately I could not login with my near account.

Developer

thanks for the feedback. The platforms are too slippery.

Sorry to hear that NEAR didn’t work. Was it trouble logging in on Itch, or didn’t the game reckognize you were logged in after getting redirected back to the game? If it’s the latter, refreshing/reloading the page may help.

I noticed some performance drop myself once in a while during development, but I didn’t look too much into it. Maybe I’ll take a second look post-jam

It gets somehow stuck when it tries to connect with NEAR. Most probably I cannot continue because I have no NEAR tokens. Had problems to buy them... I will try again later.

Developer

Please let me know if you figure out what goes wrong, because I want to fix it (if possible.) If you send me your NEAR account name, I can send you an NFT of one of the characters in the game.

It worked. Got my green skin :). Sorry, I am a noob when it comes to web3. This is what I did to make it work:

  1. Made sure I had some NEAR tokens in my wallet (fairly obvious I know... :D). It took a while until I got the tokens.
  2. As soon as I had the tokens I tried again to buy the skin, but it did not work. I came back a few hours later and then it worked.

Wow, thank you for the dedication, I really appreciate it. I’ve sent the NFT of the red skin to your account as well.

Tricky gameplay! I like how the ground curves.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. I hope the gameplay becomes less tricky after fixing some issues with sliding on platforms and jumping higher. Thanks for playing

stuck at buying nft

Developer

Sorry to hear that. In order to buy NFTs, you also need a NEAR wallet, and login to it. If you get stuck in the NEAR login screen, you need to reload the game, either by navigating back, clicking “Cancel” in the NEAR login screen, or open the game page on Itch again. I know this is tedious, and I could have been more clear about that in the in-game store as well.

indeed very relaxing. I love the time paralysis mechanics. The music is lovely.
