Congratulations on second place in the jam. I wasn’t able to play this during the voting time, but I can see why this came second. It’s beautiful, perfectly aligned with the theme, and easy to understand and play. I will play this game together with my son, and teach him programming at the same time. Good work
This genre is popular from what I’ve seen, but it also means more competition. I think you need an alement to seperate yourself from the others. And maybe a publisher like Poki or Crazy Games is a better platform than Steam iOS/Android? At least you’ll be able to validate if the game is good or not much faster than releasing on Steam. Just my thoughts
Great game. The physics work nice, especially with the car. I think it could use more gravity, because the vases are almost floating in the air while falling, but it’s not huge a problem. I had fun breaking them.
The style and music work well together, and I had fun playing the game. It’s definitely innovative, using the radio controls as controls instead of the keyboard directly (though I would prefer the keyboard.) I think it would work better on mobile. It’s almost as you could have opted for the NPC challenge, as you indirectly control the players.
I kind of wished it was open sourced, because I also use MatterJs in my Phaser game, but would love to see how MatterJs was used in this game, well done! (this doesn’t change my score though, don’t worry, haha)
Fun twist on a classic tower defense game. I like that you try something new, and you’ve been able to add a good variety of content and levels. I also appreciate the tutorials. I won
Adding keyboard shortcuts to select the type of zombie (e.g. 1,2,3,4) would help make the game easier to play. I also think the players move and die too quickly, and the game becomes a mouse clicking game. The faster you click, the more skilled you are. However, making it slower, and maybe add some extra tactical elements in both placement and which unit to use would help elevate the game. All in all a good concept, well done.
Considering this is your first game, I think it’s quite good (better than my first game.) Just running and jumping around is fun and feels nice, and that’s a great start. I guess the power theme in the game is that you sprint faster and jump higher the more you “train”. I managed to escape the maze, so I think I won, haha. Well done!
I rated 3 in gameplay, because it was a bit difficult and some options were hard to find. I gave 4 in theme, graphics and music. The theme is interpreted different from many other games I’ve seen, but would love to see more power (hacking, harassement, or something else too maybe?) sfx and atmosphere music was good, but reminded me more of a horror game than a detective game. I gave 5 in innovation because I haven’t played something like this before.
I think I won! Cells stopped spawning after I reached 20k. I think the gameplay is good, but slightly easy. Adding some more balance would help. Some music and sfx, ui-improvements, and some juice can help elevate the game a lot. The art syle is clean and coherent. It’s easy to tell friend from foe. The core is in place, and I think it works well. The upgrades are nice, and easily accessible. I appreciate we can pick up dead cells by shooting them. Well done
I like the twist on the classic card battler, and I think I would enjoy this style more compared to the classic card battler with some more polish. The characters are cute, and the game is fairly straight forward when you know what to do. The music is a little too repetitive, but overall a good entry for the period of the jam.
If you plan on working on the game post jam, it would be nice to see the same art and style as the splash image for everything in the game.
The game is unique, but difficult. I had to look at the description to understand what to do. The hints in the beginning of the game helps a lot, but they disappear too soon, making it difficult to understand what to do. I think I would add more hints to the game to reduce the difficulty.
It took a while before I figured out how to go to the Twitter account of the person I like, maybe increasing the contrast of the text and the background would make it easier.
With that said, I think the concept is cool. It’s like a mix of a detective game and a hacker game, trying to find the answer to all the security questions. Well done.
I found the treasure, so I think I won. The style of the game is nice, and I like how you interpreted the theme. I enjoy music in a game, but the tune only has 1 or 2 bars, making it too repetitive. A longer tune would help.
It would be fun to play more levels and add some additional layers on top of the theme you have already, but it’s good for a 2 week game jam. Well done.
Interesting and unique style, it works well with the music too. I had fun creating flyers. It would be fun to see some more variety, or more/less reward based on the composition of the flyer. I’m not sure if the scene about vertical placement is the best approach to validate the flyer engagement. It takes a while before the results are in, and we have to see the same flock of people going back and forth. That being said, I like the idea, and I think it has potential. Good work.
The graphics are nice, the audio and sfx are creepy (which is good to keep the vibe of the game coherent.) The controls are tight, because it feels good to move the puzzle pieces around. I didn’t play many levels, because the puzzles are the same, but with different artwork. Since we spawn different demons for each puzzle, I think it provides incentive to keep playing to see what we can summon. Good work
Interesting take on a tower defense, especially when you have to fight the wizard. The game plays really well in tower defense mode, but the wizard attack mode was not easy, and I felt the mouse control was unresponsive. I wasn’t able to fire shots all the time, making it difficult to hit the ball. Other than that, I think the game is polished, and fun to play. The music and the art are pleasing. The towers/upgrade are fun and has good variety. Well done.
This game is bizarre, comical, and all over the place. The mini games were fun, and had a lot of variety which peeked my interest. I truly enjoyed it. I just wanted to see all the craziness this game offered, so I had to complete everything. It’s unique in a good way, and very original. Well done. The only thing I thought was difficult was to move Gleep from one place in a room to another place in the same room.
I like the idea, but I’m not sure if I’m playing the game correctly. I go around and attract other flies, but I don’t know how to put them in a jar. The music fits the style, and I feel like I’m in France or Italy. Good job. (Enabling “wasd” for movement would help with the controls since we’re using a keyboard and mouse for navigation.)
EDIT: I was able to put them in jars after I found them, haha.
The visuals, sound effects and presentation are really good. I enjoyed all the bosses, and I felt the game had a deeper story to it. Having music only at the end was a good choice. The ambient sounds in the background with the sound effects helped with the look and feel and atmosphere. I had some issues with the controls and collision boxes, but I’m happy you had a button to restart to help with that. Good entry.
