"You had a hard time."
Indeed, I did. I had a hard time figuring out what to do to play the game. Clicking cards and clock doesn't seem to do anything.
Thanks for playing; sorry the game doesn’t have great feedback right now, Will try to improve UI and feedback in the future.
Nice implementation of the theme. I hope you keep working on it, it was a fun but short (as expected for a jam) experience. Once I got purple job and got rid of social media, my life was a piece of cake :) On that note, maybe have an attribute in the player that doesn't work well with the so called "right" life decisions, like less social media or time spent on games, etc. It would be more challenging to balance those things, like in real life. Overall, congratulations! :)
Actually, this one is better :) When you like your job, all you need is some stretching before you start it over again :)
Thanks for playing! I did plan more stats, including “love” or “dream”, unfortunately had cut them due to the tight schedule. Hope to add more depth to the game if there’s a chance!
The game is original and interesting. It really used the theme at it’s best. It lacks of player feedback though and the game shouldn’t be this fast. Maybe add data on the cards itself can work? (Like: Work, +1 Save, -1 Mental, -1 Health, for example)
I have the same problems since I made a card game too and I didn’t manage to make good player feedback, so don’t make my mistakes.
Congratulations for your original entry! This will go far for me. I hope you will create more games in the future!
Thanks for playing, I appreciate your feedback and kind words! Will definitely focus on the player feedback part.
Original interpretation of the theme. It took some time to get used to the mechanics, but once I understood what to do I felt the gameplay was engaging. It took a couple of tries before I managed to survive a whole year (which is a good thing.) At first, I started dragging activities in the center of the “clock”, but quickly realized I had to move the activities on each hour of the day. I think I was job hunting almost every month. I appreciate that all work related activities got updated at the same time when I changed from e.g. red to purple work. Good work on the entry.
This would greatly benefit from a slow beginning, giving the player time to figure out what they're doing. Also a tip at the top: drag things onto the schedule. I was lost the first few times I played, and was frustrated the last time I played because I had no idea how to get better at the game because of a lack of feedback (or it was just too fast for my brain). Good points for innovation though.
Thank you for playing and for your honest feedback! Currently the game lacks indication and feedback, and that brings unnecessary frustration. I’m aiming to fix that in the future.
Quite original interpretation of the theme. It would benefit from having some sounds, and perhaps - some indication of how a given card would impact health/mental/saving. After some experimenting, I found a schedule that would max out mental & health, and would accumulate savings indefinitely, and it seems like there’s not much else to do at this point.
Thanks for playing and for your honest feedback! Unfortunately the UI and indication parts are very unpolished, and I’m prioritizing to fix that in the future.
Dude, did you add coding to your schedule? Great game, new idea!
Thank you, glad you liked the idea!
All fives, I love this game.
I'm glad you did!
Wow this is a pretty original gameplay concept I think! It took me a couple of tries to grasp the dynamics of how the wheel worked and interacted with the floating elements, but then I understood it. Its really impressive how you have made the game respond to the action and previous behaviour of the player I think. It really invites to explorative play!
Well done, and happy jamming :-D
Thank you for those kind words! Very glad you had fun with it :D
