Very cool game.  Once I figured out what the recall did, it was fun to play.

I enjoyed the game, I got to the end. The recall mechanic was nice, I'm interested to see how you did it to be honest, so might check the code out.

Feedback:

  • I had no issues solving the puzzles, they were well laid out and pretty self explanatory.  Wish there was more though ^.^
  • When I first started playing I didn't know what was expected, I pressed esc and noticed a "recall" thing I pressed it because I didnt know what it was, and then caught on to the game.  I think you should either:  have a how to on the main menu since this is the first entry point to the game that mentions what recall *does* (as well as in game)
  • On the last puzzle when you press the trigger, the paids that come out don't come out smoothly they kind of jitter, which looks adnormal and throws out time causing me to fall even when I tried to anticipate it. I eventually got to the end but those 4 floating squares need movement smoothing.

All in all, great game idea! :D

Very cool game!! Loved the concept and the visuals. Will play it more tomorrow, opened it out of curiosity and can't finish the puzzles at the moment, but they look great too. The robot is very cute. Very clever idea!! I agree that some sounds to tell us where the recalled robot is would help, so that we don't need to turn around so much.
But i liked this one a lot! Didn't know what to expect, and was gladly surprised!!

Cool concept, very pretty, and I enjoyed the design of the puzzles a lot. Very good job!

I really liked it! It reminded me a lot of ratchet and clank: a crack in time. Good job!

Cool concept! The gameplay was fun and interesting and it'd be cool to see more levels based around it. The time robot could maybe use some sounds of its own since sometimes I had no idea where it was. Overall great job :)

Developer(+1)

Yeah...sounds were added in the 11th hour.

I also noticed having sounds on the time robot would have been nice, so you don't always need to watch what your past self did/is doing

Really cool concept, an well executed with minimal assets. It took me a while to figure out the recall bit and my only criticism would be that some might not figure it out and quit.

Nice work

Sorry for the inconvenience. I actually meant to show the controls to the player when they first start, but I totally forgot.

Thanks for hanging in there!

I enjoyed the gameplay very much. I think the concept is really interesting. I'd love to see more levels be developed for this game. The robot model and environment look very nice and clean. The only thing I can think of is some music to be added during gameplay. Other than that, perhaps some sound effects of the second robot so you can hear it coming up the blocks without looking around the level to search for it.

Congrats on completing the game jam! I really enjoyed this one.

Developer

Thanks! Yeah, I only first started looking into how to do sound in Unreal on the day before the jam finished. So, I'm glad it has any sound.

But you're totally right, some sounds on the other robot would help with gameplay as well.

Hi, thank you for your submission to our jam. The rules state you must also include your project files (source and everything else needed to compile the game locally). Please edit your submission to include a zip file with your source or else I will unfortunately have to delete this entry.

Developer

I have included a link to the project on OneDrive. Does that not work?

HostSubmitted

When I click that link, I see an empty folder.

Developer

Ah. Yes, it's still uploading :S
It's over 5 GB :O

Developer

Okay, I've added the link to the original submission as well.

And the source has finished uploading, so we should be good!! *phew*

HostSubmitted

Yup, looks good, thanks for adding the source!
