Pretty cool game! I enjoyed how fast you moved through the platforms and the items after the bosses were a nice touch. Really cool.

Hi!

Cool Game. I loved the audio it was just so perfect for this game! The parallax in the background was a great touch to show the movement of the character.  All the sprites were awesome and looked great.

When I booted up the game for the first time there was already a save file there, I don't know if that was a glitch or not? I found it very unclear when I was fighting the tomato boss. I found the UI to be a bit bland. Also when I was travelling up the tree lots of the world was disappearing before I actually left the area.

Overall very cool game, the visuals are great, and the sound is probably the best I've seen in this jam!

Hi, thanks for trying our game! Really great to hear you enjoyed it! Thanks for letting us know about the save file in there. I'm going to fix that up and re-upload it. Will also be keeping a watchful eye out for the disappearing world as you mentioned. Your words are much appreciated!

Fun platformer, with nice controls and cool save system!

Was a fun little platformer, good job! I especially liked that you'd made it quite difficult (or at least I found it quite difficult) but put enough save points around that I could fight my way back to where I was without getting too frustrated.

Nice game. I got stuck when I got the cloack. I couldn't make the last dash between the walls. I like the secret rooms and the items you gain when you kill bosses. I had a lot of fun!

Yeah, sorry, that section was my handiwork haha. Looking at it now, I think I know of some changes to improve that vertical climb section so it's a little more forgiving.

Cool platformed , like the save system . Well done

Quite a neat little platformer! I liked the save system, although collected over 700 coins and then it came back to my old save and I lost all :D Well that's what I get for running around. Good game! :)

Thanks for playing! I will look into the money bug.

Submitted(+1)

Oh it wasn't a bug :D I just died without finding a save game door, so I went back to my last save and lost all that I had collected on the way.

I liked the game and have playing a good time, it has a save feature with it is strange to view in a game jam, and the player can gain new weapons and items to extend the gameplay.

My only drawbacks was a bit difficult control because everyone is suited to use AWSD or Arrows control to move and jump.

Nevertheless very good submission.

Regards.

Good:

Nice sound

Easy to jump, not required to be too accurate.

Found myself playing for a while - forgetting I was reviewing

Explorable

To work on:

Jump would have been better as 'space', had to keep looking at the keyboard

got a little lost, in terms of what I needed to do

Tutorial - couldn't see the player

Nice work, easy to play

Hello! You have a nice platform game here, good job :) The snappy and fast paced controls felt really nice. One thing that I found odd, if you don't mind, is the fact that you kinda have to lose progress (platformer wise) to pick up the coins if they fall down, it felt punishing.

Also the coins seem to have a collider of their own I think, you might want to look at trigger colliders, since you're using Unity :)

Cheers!

I really loved this game! It was fun battling the bosses and the power-ups were really rewarding when I got more freedom to explore the map, which was really well designed. I got a little bit stuck in the area of the teleportation orb, but nonetheless the difficulty level is great and the last map gave me Celeste vibes. Keep up the good work!

I had a lot of fun exploring =)

Really liked this game! The quick movement makes everything fun to do, regardless of what it is, an the soundtrack truly inspired my adventurous spirit. If I could make one suggestion, it would be to have the  sword's animation accurately represent its hit box, as it was occasionally hard for me to tell if something was within range or not. Also, super funny art! nice job!

The game is awsome. The movement is very fluid wich makes platforming a lot of fun.
The power-ups that you gain through the game are also a lot of fun. Very well done.

For some reason, the game is frozen at the beginning. Do you have any idea what's the problem? I'm using MAC

Developer

odd I will look into it. we didn't get much time to test on mac.

Developer

What version of mac are you using?

MacBook Pro 2017, macOs High Sierra 10.13.6

We rebuilt on a newer mac and it broke everything so it looks like we will have to scrap the mac build for the next while.

Currently working on getting our Mac up and running again, at which point a mac release of the latest build shall be attempted again. Thank you for informing us of the problem you encountered.

Just an update. Apologies, but it's looking like we won't be re-releasing the macOS build due to some unforeseen complications.

This game is super good, you packed so much into this! I got a bit lost at one point and by personal preference would have had the movements and attacks be a bit slower and more deliberate. All in all though I was blown away, lovely music and rewarding exploration and gameplay, congrats!
