What a fun game! This is really well designed. Great quest system on top of everything too (except all the snakes were eaten by people before I could be eaten by them lol). I loved the frog's face haha

I played this game during the development phase. It has really unusual game mechanics. I really like these original works. incredible imagination. I wish I could think of creative games like this. Congratulations for the upload.

Very creative.  Fungi games rock.

You have a cool system and mechanic going on here! Maybe, after the jam, you could add some sort of progression structure that goes beyond the objectives. I think that would be cool. The visuals were very charming too. Thanks for the experience!

I am now the king of the jungle!

cool concept!

Excellent game. Fit the theme so well. After a while reaching the ''eat 3 hares'' mechanic became boring. I think setting up a reason for people to bother collecting those 3 hares would be cool. Regardless I think the music and mechanics suited the direction you were aiming for.

Fun game. The "get eaten to become something else" mechanic was pretty good.

I liked the cute animal sprites.

There was an annoying and loud click noise happening every few seconds. Not sure if it was part of the background music.

Developer(+1)

Hi! The clicking sound has something to do with the WebGL build and I can't find a way to fix it. Hence there is a volume control to turn the music off :p

It's a good game, but it'd be even better if it had excellent graphics.

Developer

Thank you! Unfortunately I'm not a good artist, that's the best I can do xD

Congrats on completing the jam! I thought it was a great take on the theme! A shorter cooldown on being able to move your mushroom would be a welcome change, I found myself trapped and waiting out the countdown several times.

Developer

Congrats to you too! When I playtest, I usually turn myself back to a shroom when I see a predator (cockroach or mosquito) nearby, or when I need to avoid one that doesn't eat shrooms. I found that 10s is the sweet spot between being too slow or overpowered.

Fun game. Love the music

Developer

Thank you! I wish I can fix the clicking sound in the music but this only happens in WebGL build and I don't know the solution.

Cool game! Liked the music and mechanics.

i really like your perspective about the theme. It can be more fun about gameplay but nice.

Developer(+1)

Hi, glad that you find my perspective interesting! Do you have any suggestions on improving the gameplay?

Submitted

i think waiting to die a little boring. I cant really think solution right now to that but my feeling is this ^^

Very interesting concept, was it based on The Girl with All the Gifts? Was fun, up beat music and interesting interactions, although I didn't quite grasp the direction I was supposed to be going, or what I was doing. Some additional guide text might be useful for anyone that can't figure it out

Developer

Hi, glad that you enjoyed the game! I have never heard of The Girl with All the Gifts, but the original idea came from reading a page about the zombie-ant fungus. I will make sure to add some guides in the game.
