Nice one! I like this game but it was quite hard for me to finish levels, dead bodies are rolling around everywhere and I needed to die  22 times to finish second level XD

Fun concept! Great use of Quaternius' assets (I think). There are a few things that would help this be a bit less frustrating at times:

  • Disable physics for the sacrificed bodies. Often they would roll around uncontrollably.
  • Disable X and Z rotations on the player. When falling down past where the lasers were on level 3, I hit a torch which sent me sideways with no way to recover.

Cool art, interesting concept but man those controls. I did manage to get to the companion cube reference and I vibe with that but pushing those cubes around was a darn nightmare and at one point, the companion cube got in the lazer and I spent a good 5 minutes trying to get it out and finally did but it was very hard.

Jumping on your corpses was also tricky, besides the likelyhood of having to create a dozen of you to just jump 3 steps because your corpses wont stop rolling off, every now and then, you get launched into the skies. Or every now and then your jump kinda lags you in space preventing your character from moving. Like making the character more cube like and less capsule like could help a lot with this.

There was also a time when I got pushed into the wall or the cube got tucked into a corner making it impossible to get out.

And there were times when you couldnt see the player or cube due to objects in front of the camera.

I know I kinda wrote down a lot here but I do want to say that I lvoe this concept, I had a lot of fun playing this and only towards end did I encounter some bugs in the maps like walls that appeared like they shouldnt be there or platforms that had no mass/colliders.

I seriously love the concept, it rocks and with more playtesting and patches, this will be a rockin game! Keep up the good work to all 3 of you!

This is your first game? Good job! I really liked the art style, too. :)

The controls made the game quite difficult. I wish I was able to jump just a bit higher, but I'm sure you're aware of that already.

Keep it up!

Nice concept and aesthetics.
I can imagine doing this in 3D probably gave some headaches during the jam. hah
Good work !

I had really fun, great job :)

nice! I think I saw the same idea but a 2D version of this. Both good games

Great job! I really like the idea and aesthetics. But have you tried making the remain bodies maybe more heavier. I feel it is too easy to move them.

Nice game! Very cool mechanics and some tricky levels to get through! The player movement had a lot of stuttering. It may have just been me? Don’t know if others complained about it. First game jam? This is top tier stuff, keep up the great work!

Really fun! The laser beams sound of the 3rd level scared me out XD

Ps. The 2nd level was fun! ^^

Good game! Liked the concept and loved the art!

The second level isn't so annoying as putting the key on the pedestal on the third level... :/ Maybe if isn't so slippy.... But still a great game!

I found if you yeet a load of the little guy down the pathway on level 2 that eventually find their place haha.

Lol I love the sound and the game play mechanics. This was a neat idea and I think you executed it well! I think some more controls even if the player tips over would have been helpful for level 2. But I loved it overall.

First, congrats on your first game and first game jam! To think that you managed to make this without much experience in Unity and game dev is very impressive. The game functions well, everything looks polished, and the puzzle is good.

To make the game even better, I think the character's corpses can be more stable and cubic. Maybe it is your intention to add difficulty to the game, but I think the corpses rolling so easily from any slight movement can make the experience very frustrating and tedious very fast. And it appears that this rounded design does not serve any significant functions, so it probably deserves some adjustment.

Overall, a very well-made game with fun puzzles and cute models, made in merely 10 days. You should be proud. Great job!

Also, your game is quite similar to ours in many aspects, which is interesting. :)
