Reallly good game.
There's a jar with some kind of poison, I think it would be better to find a way to make the object less attractive, because it made me think I could interact with it. BUT that's not even a problem the game is great. Nice job!
What an original idea. That was hilarious and inventive. Every level got better and better, so I was sad that it was over so quickly. Hope you keep going with this!
Some really neat puzzles in there, and great story and art to.
Got a bit stuck on level 4, the room for error in getting a jump right without hitting your head was tricky.
Great job on this!
i love puzzle game like that. puzzle mechanics was really good. the game got me. nice story by the way. i think necromcer lines was really cool :D congrats for submission.
great game and art, I enjoyed playing it, well done.
Very good. Always fun to frustrate a jerk character, and the art was excellent! Hope you keep adding levels, I'd love a finale in the summon room itself :D
Congrats on completing the game jam! I liked your concept, art, and story. I do wish there had been one final cutscene where the necromancer gave up in disgust.
great game and art, I like the font as well :) did find the controls a bit difficult but I don't normally play games on a keyboard so that might just be me
Fun game.
Sprites and animations are great.
Very funny story, on point with the theme. Death is the beginning and also the goal. XD
Some improvement suggestions:
- For animating the texts, I recommend using TextMeshPro's maxVisibleCharacters property instead of appending characters to the text string.
- It would be nice to add a color change on the buttons when hovering the mouse on them.
Good game!
Thanks, I've actually been revamping the dialogue system for future projects, and you've saved me some research in figuring out how to start text that's too long on the next line.
And thanks for playing!
I like that literally you need to die to complete levels :D
This really looks good! :D Great job!
Awesome job! Loved the art style, music and storytelling. The puzzles were all excellent, not too hard but enough of a challenge. I only would have wished for more precise controls, there is some inertia I found a little unnerving.
This game hit all the marks! Awesome job. The graphics were beautiful, it was well written, and most of all, it was fun! I'm terrible at platformers but enjoyed the puzzle!! :D
Excellent story, art, gameplay and music! I love this game! ❤️
Absolutely excellent entry, perhaps my favorite of any I've played yet. Excellent work.
Really well made game, with well polished puzzles! I liked the story and the aesthetics too. The only problem I found was, slightly bad platform placement, which made jumping harder. Congratulations! :)
This was really fun. Loved the premise and the humour of the story. Very pretty game too. Awesome job!
This was so well made! How did you do that green underglow on the skeleton in the first scene? That was one of my favorite parts x)
The humor was also excellent. Fun story. I'm really not a fan of platforming, but I wanted to progress to see what would happen next.
The art is just awesome. I love the close up character portraits. Really lovely style. The music was great too. Just a really solid entry all around. Congratulations.
We used a secondary texture to define some pixels that should glow, then I wrote a URP lit shader to apply a colour with extra brightness to those pixels. Then I added bloom using post processing. Brackeys has a video on the whole process called "How to make 2D glow in Unity!". Hope this helps.
And thanks for playing, I appreciate the feedback.
One of the best in this jam I've played so far
Really enjoyed playing this. Loved the theme of the necromancer and the skeleton. Really enjoyed the puzzles
