Developer

Thank you!

I was wondering if I'd be able to check out any more games tonight as I'm away from my PC but fortunately I came across your game. It works perfectly on mobile once I got used to the dragging mechanic.

Was addictive enough to see it through to the end. Nice little puzzler!

And thank you so much for the undo function.

Developer

Thank you! Good to hear you enjoyed it on mobile, and made it all the way ヾ(≧▽≦*)o

Really liked the idea behind this game and enjoyed playing it! Good job :)

Developer

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!

This might be the most time I've spent on any one submission, I really really enjoyed it. I got stumped on a stage somewhere in the middle and then on the last stage, but because the mechanics are so simple I knew I'd be able to figure it out and kept trying. The undo button helps prevent any kind of frustration and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the undo button even undoes restarts for those accidental button presses. There are a lot of stages here and the difficulty curve felt almost perfect which I've learned is a very difficult thing to do so I really appreciate it. The simplistic visuals really compliment the mechanics and gave me nostalgia of playing ms-dos games on my first pc.

Developer

I’m really glad you got so into it! I spent a good deal on creating the difficulty curve, so it’s great to hear it came across well (/≧▽≦)/

Really engaging game, I'm a big fan of puzzles games so I enjoyed this one a lot, even though I didn't finish it. The art style is very simplistic and I loved it, but the axolotl could indeed use some more recognition from the other objects. The sounds were cute and complementing, some 8bit music would complete it nicely. The mechanics were very simple, yet with some twists, I found that very surprising. Great job out there, congrats! Developer

Appreciate it friend! The player certainly could use something to identify them better, so I’ll tackle that in any updates. If there’s anything in particular you (or anyone else reading this) suggest, let me know.

You did an amazing job introducing and building on mechanics. The final level and needing to utilize perfect timing and everything learned previously to bring that waterfall down all the way was perfect (and very tough, I retried it so many times!).

You've got a real talent for puzzle design and I thought the art and sounds fit the game well. If you ever wanted to continue expanding on the premise and build on the visuals/sound to suit a larger audience I think you could have a real hit! Axolotls are such a great character to work with too!

Great work! Really enjoyed playing it. Only complaint is I accidentally completed the final screen before seeing what it said :D

Thank you so much! I’m glad the payoff worked out for that level. It was tough getting a reasonable difficulty curve.

I might build on this in the future, so I appreciate the detailed response. Especially since you’re right, I should’ve had a forced delay on the congrats screen to give time to see it all.

That was more my fault really! I wouldn't think about it too much :D

The final level's difficulty was enjoyable to push through as I'd found each of the previous levels so satisfying to complete. It was a really nice collection of challenges. Your difficulty curve as a whole was quite good and I often found myself going "oh! the solution was simpler than I thought!" in a good way! How you used the mechanics like dryness, lilylpads and dirt were very clever.

I liked the game itself, very old school simple puzzles (I'm bad at puzzles so I enjoyed this, didn't get past one of the last ones I think, played through quite a few).

Sometimes at the start of the level I got a bit disoriented where I was, since the player doesn't stand that much out from the eggs. But obviously looking a bit more you can find it easily.

Overall nice game :) Very simplistic art work, but worked well with the simple old school puzzle style.

Developer

Thanks for getting as far as you did! ヾ( ̄▽ ̄)

I appreciate the feedback on locating the player, seems it would help a lot.

This was so much fun! I absolutely loved all the different mechanics and the story. (yay axolotls) Also really great tutorial!

Developer

Thanks a lot! I’m glad the tutorial worked out (^人^)

Simple but fun game, reminded me alot of a game I played on Amiga 500

Developer(+1)

Haha it does have a quaint style like back in the day. I can almost hear the dial up tone.

Submitted(+1)

I’ve actually used the dial-up tone as the intro in one of my projects main menu music lol

Developer(+1)

Oh my that’s beautiful 😂

Submitted(+1)

First I was a bit disoriented by the waterfall helped me a lot to orient myself and then i was just a plesure to solve the puzzles. Great relaxing puzzle game.

Developer

Thank you! Real glad to hear you got oriented for the later puzzles 🌊

Awesome gaming experience, friend! I've rated it accordingly. I'd appreciate if you could do the same for my game.

Well done! This is great.

Appreciate it marnen!

That was a really nice experience. I did not expect so many levels ^^. I really liked the option to go one step back if you messed up even after resetting the level.

Developer

Thanks! I tried to get enough levels to show off all the mechanics ^__^

My smol brain is not enough to guide the nice Axolotl through all levels...
A really stimulating and fun experience so far, though.

Developer

I can relate, making the levels was pretty tough too 😅

Don’t worry, the Axolotl appreciates the eggs you rescued!
