The idea behind this game was really fun! I enjoyed playing it a lot, and it really made  me want to keep on playing - especially since I kept getting stuck with a score in the 30s and wanted to beat it.

On that note, the controls were pretty good. At first, I thought I could get away with using a and d for the left, and the up and down arrows for the right, which didn’t work. Flying V phased through some of the stone blocks on the bottom though, right before they went off screen, and - this next part may have just been a me problem - I misjudged the jump distance often and would have the character brush the landing platforms, then it would fall off.

Overall though, this was an engaging game with exciting music that fit the theme well, and I really enjoyed it!

Developer

Hmm, were you playing the game fullscreened? If not, the up/down arrow keys will ALSO scroll you up and down on the webpage, which is unplayable. But fullscreen fixes that.
The phasing issue you described is a bit concerning, too. The blocks are supposed to disappear only once they're about an inch "below" the bottom of the screen. I wonder if it's a resolution issue, and you're seeing further down than intended. Not sure.

Well, thank you so much for your feedback, and thanks for playing!!

Oops.. Yes, fullscreen fixed the up/down thing. For the phasing, the blocks didn't really disappear, just that the character wouldn't land on it even though it looked like it should. Although playing in fullscreen did result in some blocks disappearing - when I thought I was going to fall, I ended up landing on something.

It didn't detract from the game though! I had a great time playing!

Interesting concept! I like the art, definitely hard to concentrate on both at once!

Yeah I enjoyed the balancing of both worlds, really had to focus mostly on the left side though, since I couldn't see that was there a lot of negatives from not getting the others (obviously they helped enormously).

Good little game and worked well with the theme! Nice job :)

Thanks for the kind words! Honestly, that's the strategy I found while playtesting: Focus mostly on the left side, glance at the right, and do gentle taps to get the head to drift where you need it. And prioritize hearts, because missing one at a bad moment is the easiest way to lose.

Amazing game.
Great job!

I lack the coordination for this game. Nonetheless, it is a whole lot of fun.

Flying V has a better social life and work-life balance than I do. I really like the idea of splitting the horizontal and vertical dimensions into 2 parallel, connected games

great game I enjoyed playing it, would you try out mine and rate it according.

Developer

Sure bud, you got it! Thanks!

Really engaging game with a great message as well! The web version seems to have some formatting issues for me. Otherwise it's a great game and I had a lot of fun with my eyes watching both sides of the screen.

this was kinda like doodle jump meets guitar hero for me, which was great. it really takes all of your attention, and then some. Also getting heart or that last $ just before falling down is such an amazing moment, and it happens a lot. I really enjoyed that one, Great job!

Looks really cool, and I like the duality of the action and the mind. For some reason, my controls don't work, however. I pressed AD and left/right arrows, but no movement. Let me know if there's a patch and I'll have another look.

Developer

Hmm, that's a first for us. Did you click your mouse cursor outside of the game screen after you pressed play? You also might want to try fullscreen mode.

In any case, thanks for trying! I'll check out your game in a bit!

Nice game, its way more challangeing that it looks like at first.

Fun game! Had to play on full-screen so that my page down and up button doesn't affect my browser. Nice utilization of the life in 2 dimensions theme! :D
A superhero's life is truly in 2 dimensions, them balancing fighting crime trying to save the world, while also being on top of their personal relationships. Very nice idea. Made me think of the comic/tv show INVINCIBLE.
At first I didn't get the right part of the screen, I'm not usually up to reading walls of texts as tutorial.  But I eventually got it.
The aesthetics of the game is cohesive and well rounded.
The sound is satisfying when I punch enemies and get that boost.
