Good job! You’ve got a full game cycle here with a clear objective and tools to achieve that objective.

The level is a bit dark at the very start, you might want to add a global light volume or similar for that(If you want to keep it as a night scene, there are ways to do that, just give it a quick Google)

The level feels a bit empty, but since this is a gamejam that’s understandable. I wasn’t able to finish it due to getting lost a few times, but that could be fixed with a minimap or just a bit of level decorations to point you in the right way.

Pretty nice game, i like the atmosphere and the music. It's too dark in the bunker in my opinion, maybe it's dark exactly the same in real bunkers, I have not been to any :D but at least adding a flashlight would be nice.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I want to add flashlight, but start work on this project too late and got only 5 days to complete it.

I'll add flashlight and work with lights inside bunker at next version. :)

I liked the music and the vibe it created for the game. Game itself was very short and just one enemy to kill was a bit lackluster (Or then somehow I was able to get to the portal without even seeing them), but good artwork and submitting a game that works is already a win! :)

I think the bullets were way too small, I didn't even see them at first, until I was inside and tried to shoot the gas canisters :D Also the enemy could have made some sound effect or some kind of other marker (flash light or something) that I would know I was hitting him.

End of the level I just jumped out of the map, but I understand that this was just a demo and it was the end, so I didn't mind it all! :)

Thanks a lot for all the comments! I will add a lot of important details later on when GameJam ends. :)

Good game! It's got a nice atmosphere and the music's good too. The typing sound effect can be toned down a little, but I didn't mind it as much as the text speed being way too slow. Also, the text placement and size should be tweaked too! The map layout can get disorienting, I too ended up falling through the end of the map. But overall, good effort!

Developer(+1)

Yes, I will fix the volume level and text typing speed, as well as the size of the text box. Thanks for playing my game! :)

I hope you keep developing this game. Congrats!

Developer

I will definitely continue this game. It will be quite long, containing many details and mechanics that are not yet available. Thanks for playing my game! :)

Well done 🙌. Interesting mechanics about always moving forward 🤔. I quite like the environment and is a nice detail you've included your students models.

Well done! Keep building! :-)

First of I would like to say that I appreciate the hints in the game, they really helped. But i would tone down the sound effect when a letter is being typed.

Second i found two "bugs" in the game, one is right after you kill the mutant and you are supposed to go into the bunker. Instead of going into the bunker I looked around went behind the tower and couldn't move out of there anymore, I started pressing buttons in hopes of getting out of there and then the next level loaded i think q or e where the last buttons i tried.

The other bug was inside the tunnels and is not really a bug but more so a level design issue, I took a couple of wrong turns and found a tunnel that lead me to the end of the map, where I fell through into nothing.

I wish the character was a little bit higher or the levels smaller, it feels like I'm close to the ground like I'm playing a toddler with a shotgun.

Also visual effects when you shoot something with the gun would also be nice, so that the player knows if the bullet actually hits the target.

Other than that I really liked the game, You can shoot, you have enemies and you have triggers / interactables. Well done! Please keep working on the game, would love to see more :)

Developer

Thank you very much for such a detailed analysis of my game! I will make all these recommendations in the next version of the game! :)

Definitely dark, yes. But the mechanic has potential. Congratulations.
You did a great job.

Thank you so much! :)

Great work on submitting your game! :D I enjoyed the idea about going home to another world through a portal and the overall aesthetic of the game. It was a bit too dark tho and maybe the scale of the player could be bigger because down in the bunker I felt like the tunnels and environment was a bit too large for me. The music was great and would fit for the abandoned bunker, although maybe not as loud as it was. anyways great work getting this far! :)

It was a little dark I couldn't really see but it has the potential of a good game :D.

Developer

Thank you so much! I will continue developing this game after GameJam and make it better! :)

Nice game a little dark though :)

Developer

Thank you for playing my game! ^_^

I had very little time to test, so the game turned out to be too dark.
